I am lonely and looking for a companion : Mallika Sherawat

Sex Bomb Mallika Sherawat is looking for a companion, and to search for her prince charming she is coming to small screen.  The actress will be featuring in Life OK’s upcoming reality dating game show on television.

Life OK has acquired the format of the popular US reality dating game show The Bachelor and has specially made the Zodiak-owned SOL Productions to produce the Indian version – of its adaptation The Bachelorette. The show is titled “The Bachelorette India- Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika”. The show is likely to go on air somewhere in August. It will revolve around the single bachelorette Mallika and a pool of 30 romantic interests trying to woo her.

SOL had earlier produced ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’ which ran very successfully on the now shut down Imagine TV, thanks to Rakhi Sawant's bold antics. Its opening episode notched up 4.1 TVRs according to TAM data for 2009 and its grand finale Rakhi Ka Swayamvar Faisle Ki Raat, which was aired live on 2 August 2009 from 9-11.30 pm, fetched a whopping TVR of 8.4 for Imagine.

"We decided to go and acquire the licence for the original format from Warner. Any show like this that has happened in India earlier was actually inspired by The Bachelorette," said Ajit Thakur (Business head of Life OK).

He said, the dating show will run for 20 episodes over 10 weeks. "The promos have been shot, currently we are soliciting entries, and these will be followed by auditions. This show gives us a unique opportunity to partner Mallika in her quest to find true love," said Mr. Thakur.

Miss. Sherawat wore a red gathered Alexander Wang dress with Louboutin heels in the press conference which held yeaterday. When asked about “perfect bachelor" in Bollywood, she told us, "I think in Bollywood, Karan Johar is a perfect bachelor ...He is perfect for me. He is charming, successful and he has integrity.”

Mallika has not seen earlier seasons of Swayamwar featuring Rakhi Sawant in first season, Rahul Mahajan and Ratan Rajput in second and third seasons respectively. Like OK claimed that there show is quite different from Swayamwar seasons.

The actress is known for her bold on-screen attitude, says people will get to see another side of her through this effort. "I have been shown as bold and glamorous girl. Through this show, people will get to see my emotional and sensitive side. I think the reach of TV today is limitless, while my reach is limited," she said.

Mallika also said she was looking for a companion, just like any other girl does. "I am lonely and looking for a companion. I am looking for love. I am like any other girl, who, beyond name, fame, money, wants a companion in life," the 36-year-old added.

Reacting to the brutal rape of the five-year-old girl in New Delhi, Mallika said, "It is very shameful act, a devastating one. I think today it is 'Ravan Rajya'."

On actor Sanjay Dutt, with whom she shared screen space in Double Dhamaal, Mallika said, "I had a good time working with him. He is a very good human being, helpful and caring. I hope he finds strength during this tough time."
