Akkshay Kumar to sing Qawali on small screen

From bashing the bad boys in his movies to romancing with the leading ladies to tickling the audiences with his coming timing, Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar has impressed his fans in every role he had played. This multi-talented star amazed everyone when he crooned a romantic song- Mujh Mein Tu for his movie Special Chabbis for which he apparently underwent a five months training to perfect his voice.

Akki has once again made use of this training and this time on small screen. While performing for a special Eid show Jashan-e-Eid soon to be telecasted on COLORS, the actor sang the famous qawalli- Chadhta Suraj.

He sang the Qawali with the famous Pakistani Sufi duo Shabiri Brothers, when he decided to dedicate this song to an old college-mate of his, who he lost years back. He said, “This song is dedicated to a very close friend who passed away at a very young age. We used to hum this song together in college and I miss him whenever I hear it. The song is very close to my heart.”

So compassionate was his voice, Akki stirred everyone present on the sets with his genuineness and sincerity. He was performing with the star cast of Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobara when his emotional side came fore on stage.

The show will go on air on August 11, 2013 on COLORS.
