Why Ekta Kapoor decided to disassociate herself from Jodha Akbar?

Annoyed and dissatisfied with Ekta Kapoor’s false promises regarding taking her controversial serial Jodha Akbar off air, the Karni Sena members finally decided to launch a nationwide campaign against the soap queen.

Last month, they interrupted Ekta’s speech and later they tried to block traffic on Ambala-Hisar highway. For those uninitiated, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena is a community-based organisation that has been endlessly protesting against Kapoor for ‘distorting facts' related to the Rajput history in her serial starring Rajat Tokas as Jalaluddin Muhammed Akbar and Paridhi Sharma as Rajkumari Jodha Bai.

Last week, members of Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha went to Balaji office for a protest.

Kapoor has been so disappointed because of this that she finally decided to disassociate herself from the daily soap. That means Balaji Telefilms will no longer be part of the show.

Since 17 February, 2014 (last Monday), Ekta and her mother Shobha Kapoor's name have been missing from the opening and closing credits. Zee TV will soon officially take her names off from the show. The channel has decided to continue telecasting the show with a new production house, as its doing good.
