"The Bull Of Dalal Street is based on a fictional story": Iqbal Khan

Abhishek Bachchan will soon begin shooting for Kookie Gulati's movie, which is based on the rise and fall of the Big Bull-stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Interestingly, Mohammed Iqbal Khan is also playing the similar role of a stockbroker in Ullu App's upcoming web-series 'The Bull Of Dalal Street'.

When quizzed about the same Iqbal, who earlier did the shows like Kahiin To Hoga, Kavyanjali and Tumhari Pakhi said, "Such things have happened earlier as well, where a film and a web-series have been made on the same subject. In our case backdrop might be similar, but there is a huge difference in terms of treatment and presentation. Secondly, our series is a fictional story about a common man, who rose to become one of the most influential brokers in a short span of time, while Abhishek's movie is based on the life of Harshad Mehta."

Recently lot of films got a clash with web series, which were based on the same subject (like Vivekand Oberoi's PM Narendra Modi & Eros Now's Modi: Journey of A Common Man and Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal & ALT Balaji's Misson Over Mars). Do you think the digital platform has turned a big competition to big budget films? The actor said, "I don't think so. The target audience for both the mediums are different. Also, there are a lot of things which we can do in a web-series, but in the movie we can't."

For those uninitiated, with 'The Bull Of Dalal Street' Iqbal will be making his digital debut. The web-series also stars Ashmit Patel and Dil Se Dil Tak actor Kunal Verma.
