Ali Zafar is gearing up for his latest romantic comedy “London, Paris, New York”. The multi-talented Pakistani actor, who has not only acted in the film but also composed the music and sung songs for it, says he is inspired by late Bollywood legend Kishore Kumar.
“Big compliment for me (when people compare me with Kishore Kumar) because he is one man who I always look up to. He was so talented that I cannot dare to stand any closer to him. He was somebody who used to sing and act,” the 31-year-old said here at the promo launch of “London, Paris, New York”.
“Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra – these are the people whom I idolise a lot. They have done movies and they used to sing songs. I just hope, in my small way, I can be somewhere close to these big names,” he added.
Ali says it is not tough for him to multitask and added: “I feel I am an artist, these are different forms of expression to create. I love to create, that’s it. I create music, I write poetry. I love to act,” said Ali who debuted in Bollywood with “Tere Bin Laden” in 2010.
“London, Paris, New York” is set to hit theatres on March 2 and also stars Aditi Rao Hydari of “Yeh Saali Zindagi” fame.
Meanwhile, Ali also has David Dhawan’s remake of “Chashme Buddoor”.
