Imagive TV is shutting down today(12 April, 2012)...can you imagine this? Well I can’t..
Lagging behind GRP ratings finally the channel is shutting down today. Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific (TAPV) has announced that they have decided to cease the operations of the channel. TAVP operates HBO, CNN, Cartoon Network, POGO, WB, TCM and Boomerang in India.
This week GRP’s of Imagine TV was just 64 whereas newly launched Life OK got GRP’s of 81. All the show will end today and there will be repeat telecast from tomorrow.
Managing Director Siddharth Jain confirmed this news, “Imagine TV has not performed and grown as per expectations. While some programmes delivered satisfactory ratings, overall the channel was unable to achieve the ratings consistency needed to sustain the business and support continued investment. As a result, Turner made the carefully considered decision to cease operations of the channel."
Launched in January 2008, Imagine TV was earlier part of NDTV, later in December 2009, TAPV acquired 92 per cent stake and channel was renamed to 'Imagine TV' from 'NDTV Imagine' in February 2010.
This news comes as big shocker for actors of newly launched show’s like Jamuna Paar and Me Ajji and Saheb.

its lame i mean they could have at least given an abrupt ending 4 all da serials b4 starting re telecast even if ppl dont watch imagine serials they cant be so unprofessional!!!!!!! sigh*
ReplyDeleteI do'nt bother with discontinuity of the channel but thr's one request that if they could show KMH1 on some other channel.I have'nt seen it . I wish if i could watch it. Plz guy help me to get my wish fulfilled
