Colors's most talked reality show Bigg
Boss is all set to hit our TV screens on 21st September. The channel
and the makers have upped the staked and will spend around Rs.140 to
150 crores for the 90 day extravaganza. Last year, the channel forked
out around Rs. 120-125 crores on the show.

As reported by media, host Salman Khan will be getting Rs5-6 crore per week. This means 'Kick' star might pocket Rs 60-65 crore from the upcoming of Bigg Boss. Last year, he was getting around Rs3.5 - 4 crores per week. With Bigg Boss 8, Chulbul Pandey becomes the highest paid host on Indian television. Amitabh Bachchan gets an estimated Rs 4 crore per week for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), which is currently being telecast on Sony Entertainment Television.
The upcoming season of Bigg Boss is
said to fetch highest spot advertising rates. The channel is selling
10 second slot for ads for Rs 3.5-4 lakh. Bachchan starrer show
'Yudh', held the record with spot rates of Rs 3 lakh for 10 seconds.
Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament is still at number one
position, when it comes to spot advertising rates. During IPL Set Max
used to get Rs 4-4.5 lakh for 10 sec ads.
