TAM Ratings Week 46, 2014: Star Plus and Zee TV big gain..

Week 46 ratings of the Hindi GEC universe saw an increase in most of the channels ratings except for Sony Entertainment Television (SET) that saw a massive drop in its ratings.

According to data from TAM subscribers week 46 (November 9 to 15, 2014), Star Plus at the top gained from last week as its ratings rose to 658 million GVTs in week 46 from 610 million GVTs in week 45.

At No.2 is Colors, which witnessed a marginal drop this week as its ratings for week 46 was 483 million GVTs from 486 million GVTs in week 45. However, the channel stayed comfortably in second position.

Zee TV made a gain in ratings as it jumped 419 million GVTs this week from 394 million GVTs last week. This comes as good news for the channel which  has witnessed slight setbacks in its ratings in recent weeks on the Hindi GEC charts.

 Life OK too saw an increase in its ratings this week as it increased from 305 million GVTs in week 45 to 313 million GVTs in week 46. Life OK that just managed to get back to No.4 spot last week strengthened its position in this week.

SAB TV at No.5 spot too gained in its ratings and increased to 296 million GVTs this week from 285 million GVTs in week 45.

SET saw a huge dip in its ratings as the channel declined to 190 million GVTs in week 46 from 245 million GVTs in week 45. This comes as a setback for the channel which has been struggling since the last couple of months to get its ratings up.

Big Magic saw a decline in its ratings this week as it recorded 61 million GVTs from 69 million GVTs in week 45. Although Big Magic witnessed a decline in ratings it managed to stay head of Rishtey despite an increase in its ratings this week. Rishtey increased to 52 million GVTs in week 46 from 44 million GVTs in week 45.

Among the new GECs, Sony PAL gained marginally as it increased from 31 million GVTs in week 45 to 32 million GVTs in week 46. Zindagi on the other hand witnessed a decline this week in its ratings as it slipped from 31 million GVTs last week to 29 million GVTs this week.

Sahara One’s ratings decline further to 9 million GVTs this week from 10 million GVTs in last week.
