Ullu App to produce a web-series on Peshawar's terrorist attack

Remember the brutal terrorist attack in Peshawar's Army Public School on December 16, 2014, in which more than 148 people, most of them children, were killed? At that time not only Pakistan, but the whole world, including Indian felt the pain and sorrow. We heard, Ullu App is making a series on the brutal attack.

According to our sources, "The web-series, which is tentatively titled 'Peshawar' is terror based love story, which will revolve around people who were involved and killed in a terrorist attack on an army-run school of Pakistan."

To get, the more details about the series, we got in touch with Ullu's CEO Vibhu Agarwal. He said, "After Halala, Panchali, Mona Home Delivery and #MeToo, we are coming up with another interesting series. Although, it is based on Peshawar's terror attack, but we are also exploring another angle, which as of now I won't be able to reveal."

When quizzed, why he chose to make a series on terror attacks in Pakistan instead of the Mumbai blasts, URI or Phulwama, Mr. Agarwal said, "Honestly, I wanted to make a series after the URI attack happened. I was also keen on producing a series on 26/11 Mumbai attacks. But since both the terror attacks are already explored, that's why I decided to drop the idea and chose terror attack on Peshawar. It was a heart wrenching and devastating terror attack. I still wonder how can someone kill innocent school-going kids? It's been around 5 years, but the wounds are still afresh. Last year, when someone suggested that I produce something on it, I immediately decided to give the green signal."

We heard Ullu is planning to make a series on Phulwama attack also. Confirming the same, Vibhu said, "Phulwama happened after we did research on Peshawar's terror attack. Once we complete this series, we will surely come up with something based on Phulwama terror attack."
