Popular TV actor Sidharth Shukla died yesterday at the age of 40. His last journey will involve the Brahmakumari rituals, since he was an ardent follower of the faith.
His last rites will be performed today(03 September, 2021). The preparations for the funeral have already begun. His body will be taken home from Cooper Hospital. At home, 4 people associated with Brahma Kumaris will recite worship according to their customs.
Balika Vadhu star was closely associated with Brahmakumari Foundation for the past three years and even attended an event that took place at their Mount Abu centre.
Shukla's mother Rita Shukla has been associated with Brahma Kumaris Sansthan, which was founded by Lekhraj Kripalani. Rajyogini Dadi Ratanmohini, who is the head of Brahma Kumari Foundation has sent a condolence message and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
Tapaswini Ben from Brahmakumaris said, "He will be taken home from Cooper Hospital at 11 am and we will be meditating first and then other rituals will be done. Siddharth followed the Brahamkumari and studied the daily discourse so his last journey will have all of it."
She further added, "It is a shock for his mother but our study and teachings help people stay strong."
