Recently I heard this beautiful song sung by one of my absolute favourites Lata Mangeshkar from the movie Sadhi Mansa. The music of this song is composed by Anandghan and the lyrics are penned by Jagdeesh Khebudkar
In ऐरणीच्या देवा तुला ठिणगी ठिणगी वाहू दे, आभाळागत माया तुझी आम्हावरी राहू दे!, the word ऐरण refers to the anvil of the blacksmith and ठिणगी refers to the spark generated when a piece of metal placed on the anvil is struck with a hammer.
"O Lord of the anvil! please accept these offerings of sparks and let your love like the endless sky be upon us always," a blacksmith woman is singing this song while helping her husband in his workshop.

She is equating the tools with God because they are the source of their daily bread. She is pleading with God for strength to face the pain that continues to be inflicted on the wound. She also expresses a desire to live a life of honor and to be courageous to face many difficult situations
