Sudhanshu Pandey replaces Karanvir Sharma as Prince Salim on The EPIC Channel’s Siyaasat...

Well-known Bollywood actor and model, Sudhanshu Pandey will soon be seen in The EPIC Channel’s prime time show – Siyaasat. Entering the show as none other than Prince Salim, Sudhanshu will replace actor Karanvir Sharma and make his debut on the channel with the episode airing on March 26th 2015.
As Akbar’s eldest son, Salim was handed the task of fortifying Mughal relations with Rajputana. But apart from his struggle for the throne, Salim had several women vying for his love and attention. Amongst them were his first two wives Man Bai and Jagat Gosini. As Salim’s journey takes him through the course of royal politics, he meets and falls in love with Mehrunissa, who eventually becomes his 20th and final wife, Empress Nur Jahan.

On his entry in the on-going show and taking over the reigns from Karanvir Sharma, Sudhanshu Pandey had this to say, “I am extremely thrilled to be a part of Siyaasat. My character is based on one of the most fascinating emperors who ruled India. While we are all aware of the historical figures in terms of what we have studied in textbooks, The EPIC Channel has brought these historical characters to life through its interpretation and expression of history. As Salim rises to the challenge of the throne, we get to see a calmer, wiser, and smarter avatar of Salim. I am certain that the audience will continue to be as mesmerized by Siyaasat as I am.”

Sudhanshu comes back to television after his award winning roles in the popular shows, ‘Yeh Meri Life Hai’ & ‘Kanyadaan’. He is also known for his key roles in hit Bollywood blockbusters such as ‘Singh is King’, ‘Dus Kahaniyan’, ‘Khiladi 420’ along with the international film, ‘The Myth’ with Jackie Chan. Sudhanshu has also had a prolific singing career as part of India’s first boy-band, ‘Band of Boys.’

Based on Indu Sundaresan’s bestselling novel, “The Twentieth Wife”, Siyaasat is a fascinating saga full of drama, inter-personal conflicts, clashing ideologies, and domestic politics of larger-than-life individuals like the Akbar, Salim, Mehrunissa, Abul Fazl and many others. Set in the 17th century India, Siyaasat is a story of grand passions and royal politics.

Don’t miss Prince Salim’s new avatar, in the upcoming episode of ‘Siyaasat’, only on The EPIC Channel on Thursday, March 26th 2015 at 9pm.
