Ullu App launches maiden awards!

Ullu App recently threw a success bash, which was a well-attended affair by the luminaries of the entertainment industry. Vibhu Agarwal, CEO of Ullu App unveiled the trailer of their upcoming web series Peshawar, The Bull Of Dalal Street and Kasak. The event was graced by Ashmit Patel, Shishir Sharma, Ihana Dhillon, Deepika Singh, Ravi Bhatia, Rushad Rana, Amar Upadhyay, Rohit Roy, Rajeev Paul, Aman Verma, Sakshi Pradhan, Pratima Kannan, Sudhanshu Pandey, Ridheema Tiwari, Aadarsh Balakrishna, Vineet Raina and many more.

On the occasion of completing one successful year, Ullu App has also launched its maiden awards. When quizzed about the same, Vibhu Agarwal said, "Ullu has carved a niche for itself in the OTT market in just a year. I'm grateful to all the actors, directors, producers, who worked with us. Without them, this wouldn't be possible. To appreciate their hard work, we decided to felicitate them, that's how we came up with the idea of Ullu Awards. I am happy with the massive response, which we got for our awards. This time actors, producers and writers of only Ullu Original's web-series were nominated, from next year onwards nominations will be open for all."

Shafaq Naaz got the best actress award for Halala and Amar Upadhyay got the best actor award for 'Singaardan'. While Sudhanshu Pandey got best male actor in a negative role in 'Dance Bar', Pratima Kannan won the best female actor in the negative category for 'Mona Home Delivery'. Deepika Singh and Aman Verma won best supporting actor's award for 'Panchali' and 'Halala' respectively.

Mr. Agarwal seemed quite excited about the upcoming series, which are based on different subjects. "While 'Peshwar' is based on brutal terrorist attack on an Army school in Pakistan, 'The Bull Of Dalal Street' is a fascinating tale of rags to riches to rags story of a stockbroker and 'Kasak' is the story of a rape survivor, who gets into a semi-comatose state. We are determined to cater to every individual and every different mood of a person, that's why we are coming up with stories of different genres, be it horror, crime drama, rom-com and book adaptations," Agarwal said.
