The charming beauty, Ekta Kaul, who won several hearts with her innocence and grace, bid adieu to India’s biggest celebrity dance reality show - Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa on COLORS, this weekend. The actor who had also suffered a shoulder injury found herself in the bottom two alongside Aarti Chabbaria.
The shy Ekta Kaul had a rocky beginning in the show but with her undeterred determination and hard work, she went on to surprising the jury and audiences with her touching performances week after week. She had managed to win everybody’s hearts including some very motivational comments from the judges as well. The judges not just appreciated her determination to learn dance on the show, but also lauded her effort to experiment with diverse dance forms, in-spite of her being a non-dancer.
Ekta and her choreographer Tushar had a wonderful journey since the beginning of the show. They started on a subdued note but went on to raising the bar with commendable performance with each passing week. Their act on wheels and the fusion act were the ones most loved and appreciated by the audiences as well as the jury.
The vote out this weekend was a tough decision for the jury with two of the most hard-working contestants with severe injuries in the bottom two. Reluctantly and with a heavy heart the jury members took a tough call basis both their performances which were showcased beautifully despite their injuries, Ekta was then voted out.
On her elimination, Ekta Kaul said, “This was the first time I have ever tried dancing in my life and that too on a national platform like Jhalak. I am disappointed to be eliminated at this stage after five weeks but it has been the best learning experience of my life and I am taking back a lot with me”.
