Abhijeet Bannerjie to Play Laxman for the Third Time in Upcoming Music Video

Actor Abhijeet Bannerjie, who is currently playing a key role in Puneet Issar’s Ishwar The Play, is all set to portray Laxman for the third time in an upcoming music video.

Abhijeet, who was previously known as Joy Bannerjee, first played Laxman in Surajya Sanhita, directed by Padma Shri awardee Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Interestingly, the actor played three different characters Arjun, Laxman and Chandragupt Vikramaditya in different stories in the project. He later went on to work in web series and television commercials.

Abhijeet is currently playing Laxman in Atul Satya Koushik’s magnum opus theatre production Ishwar. Now, he will once again step into the shoes of the iconic character, this time for a music video.

With Laxman becoming a recurring character in his journey, Abhijeet feels the role is not just another acting opportunity but a divine blessing that has brought him closer to the character in different mediums.

Talking about playing Laxman again, Abhijeet said, "In Surajya Sanhita, I played three different characters in different stories. After that, I got an opportunity to work with Puneet ji in theatre, where I am playing Laxman. Now, once again, I have got an opportunity to play the same role, but in a different way and in a different medium. I consider it a divine blessing that I am getting the opportunity to play Laxman again and again. Every time I play the character, I discover something new about him, and that makes the experience even more special for me."

Abhijeet recently returned to Mumbai after shooting for the music video in Vrindavan. The song has been sung by popular singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi. While the actor has previously appeared in music videos, this project is special for him as it is based on an ancient epic.

Talking about the project, he said, "I have done a few music videos before, but they were from different genres. For the first time, I have shot for a music video based on an ancient epic. I won’t be able to reveal much at this point, but I can say that it is based on an emotional moment from the Ramayan. And the music video was beautifully shot on the banks of the Yamuna River. The location added a very special feeling to the entire experience and made the shoot even more memorable."

He further added, "I am a huge fan of Hansraj ji and have always admired his songs. So, getting an opportunity to work with him is surreal. I have always loved the emotion and devotion in his music, so being part of a project with him is something I will always cherish."

Kanikka Kapur to Play a Righteous Teacher in Dabang Teacher, Says Her Look Is Inspired by Sushmita Sen and Alia Bhatt

Kanikka Kapur, who won hearts with her portrayal of Major Suman Tiwari in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, is all set to woo audiences with a completely new avatar in Shakeb Sayed Studioz’ upcoming vertical series, Dabang Teacher for Story TV.

We hear that Kanikka’s look in the series is loosely inspired by Sushmita Sen’s iconic character Chandni Chopra from Main Hoon Na and Alia Bhatt’s character Rani Chatterjee from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The actress will be seen stepping into the shoes of Naina, a strong-willed and morally upright teacher.
Talking about her character, Kanikka said, “I am playing the role of Naina in the show. She believes in calling a spade a spade. She is righteous and morally correct. Naina works as a teacher at an institute, and she is one of the most honest and disciplined teachers there. Her strong morals sometimes create problems for her, but she firmly believes in supporting what is right and calling out what is wrong.”

The Batwara 1947 actress is also excited about her new look and the opportunity to experiment with her appearance. She shared, “I am in love with my look. It’s something new and refreshing for me. Sushmita Sen’s character Chandni Chopra from Main Hoon Na is iconic, and my entry look is inspired by her. You will also see me wearing costumes inspired by Alia Bhatt’s character in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.”

Adding another interesting element to the series, Kanikka will once again share screen space with her Ek Duje Ke Vaaste co-star Mohit Kumar. The duo’s on-screen chemistry has been loved by their fans ever since they appeared together in the popular show.

Talking about their reunion, Kanikka said, “After our show ended, our fans continued to shower us with so much love. Because of their love, we have been reuniting again and again on different platforms and in different mediums. Mohit is a fabulous actor, and it is always a treat to work with him. Our chemistry is so organic that now we don’t even feel like we have to act. Our on-screen bond looks realistic without us putting in any extra effort.”

Talking about working with Shakeb Sayed Studioz, Kanikka said, "Mohit and I previously worked on another show, Intern Vs CEO, with the same production house, and it received a great response from the viewers. I really like the way they work. They are organised, thorough professionals, and their approach is very systematic. So, when they approached me for another show, I didn’t hesitate to say yes."

With a strong character, a fresh look and the much-loved Kanikka-Mohit pairing, Dabang Teacher is certainly one of the upcoming vertical series to watch out for.
