2015 has begun on a positive note for the Hindi general entertainment channels as most of them saw a hike in TAM TV ratings of week 1.
Star Plus saw its ratings increase significantly to 654 million GVTs from 596 million GVTs in week 52 of 2014 (December 21 – 27, 2014). This comes as good news for the channel which had dropped to 596 million GVTs from 637 million GVTs a week prior.
Colors, in second spot, made good gains during the week as its ratings climbed to 520 million GVTs from 492 million GVTs in the last week of 2014. In the week before this, it saw a marginal drop in ratings to 492 million GVTs from 500 million GVTs in week 51.

Zee TV’s ratings grew marginally to 430 million GVTs in week 1 from 427 million GVTs in week 52, 2014. A week prior to that, it had seen its ratings drastically fall from 474 million GVTs in week 51 to 427 million GVTs in week 52.
Life OK, too, saw its ratings grow this week to 338 million GVTs from 329 million GVTs a week earlier. This comes on the back of a marginal increase in the last week of 2014 where ratings increased to 329 million GVTs from 327 million GVTs in week 51.
SAB TV continued its ratings growth as it saw it rise to 335 million GVTs in week 1 from 320 million GVTs in week 52. A week earlier, it had seen the largest gain among the top Hindi GECs as it rose to 320 million GVTs from 310 million GVTs in week 51.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET), this week, posted gains with a rise in its ratings to 264 million GVTs in week 1 from 237 million GVTs in week 52, 2014. A week earlier it had seen a marginal decline to 237 million GVTs from 240 million GVTs in week 51.
Zee Anmol started off with an increase in its ratings this year as it rose to 94 million GVTs in week 1 from 81 million GVTs in week 52.
Star Utsav too saw an increase in its ratings to 90 million GVTs from 75 million GVTs a week earlier.
Rishtey saw a marginal increase in its ratings to 67 million GVTs in week 1 from 64 million GVTs in week 52, 2014.
Big Magic, on the other hand, saw a marginal decline in its ratings to 61 million GVTs from 63 million GVTs in week 52.
Zeel's Zindagi saw its ratings decline marginally to 28 million GVTs in week 1 from 27 million GVTs in week 52 of last year.
Sony Pal, on the other hand, saw its ratings increase to 26 million GVTs in the first week of 2015 from 23 million GVTs in week 52, 2014.
Sahara One saw its ratings stay the same this week since last week at 13 million GVTs.
Epic channel continued its rise in ratings to 6.3 million GVTs in the first week of 2015 from 5.3 million GVTs in week 52 of 2014.

ReplyDeleteEPIC channel is really good. Some relaxation from daily soaps. "YAM KISI SE KAM NAHIN" is good comic serial. "ADRUSHYA" , "EKANT", "RAJA, RASOI..." all are really good & informative also. Colors khud kyun nahin sudharta.
