In week 20 (14-20 May, 2016), In the urban Hindi Speaking Markets, Star Plus acquired No.1 spot pushing Colors to the second spot in week. Zee TV remained at No.3. As far as the rural viewership is concerned, Sony Pal replaced Zee Anmol to be the most watched channel followed by Star Utsav at No.2. Zee Anmol slipped to the third spot.
Star Plus jumped to the top spot in week 20 with 431 million ratings which were 413 in week 19. The channel was at No.2 in the previous week.
Colors slipped to the second spot as it lost a few eyeballs. The ratings dropped from 431 million in week 19 to 414 million in week 20.
Zee TV stayed at No.3 with 315 million ratings which were 311 million ratings in the previous week.
Life OK also held on to its previous week spot of being the fourth best channel in the list. The ratings, however, dropped from 287 million to 283 million in week 20.
Sony SAB remained at No.5 with 264 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 241 million ratings.
Sony Entertainment Television, at No.6, fetched 216 million ratings, more than previous week’s 207 million.
At No.7 stood &TV with 127 million ratings. The channel, on the same position, had 119 million ratings in the previous week.
The eighth spot was acquired by Sony Pal which fetched 113 million ratings, less than previous week’s 115 million.
The bottom two spots were acquired by Zee Anmol and Star Utsav, like week 19. Zee Anmol garnered 101 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 98 million whereas, Star Utsav fetched 94 million ratings, less than previous week’s 95 million.
