Sushant
Marya, who was last seen in Shashi Sumeet Mittal’s ‘Karna Sangini’ has
been roped in for Nikhil Dwivedi's 'Shrimad Bhagavad'. We heard, the
actor will be seen playing Seshnag's incarnation Balaram in the upcoming
mythological show.
'Shrimad Bhagavad' is a 52 episode series, which will air on weekends. Last 3 episodes will focus on Balaram's love life, which not explored much till date on television. Interestingly, Balaram's wife was gigantic and 12000 crores years older than him.
As per the folklore, Lord Brahma told King Kakudmi that Shri Krishna's elder brother Balaram is a worthy husband for his daughter Revati. To check whether the Balaram is eligible for her or not, Revati challenged to fight with her. Balaram, who was an excellent warrior proved his caliber and later tapped his plow on her head because of which she shrunk to the normal height. After which they got married.
Marya, who earlier did 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata' confirmed the buzz and said, "Royal costumes, larger-than-life characters and picturesque backdrops always fascinates me. I am glad, after ‘Karna Sangini’ I got another opportunity to do another mythological show."
