A show which began as a journey of four sisters from a small town to a big city, COLORS’ family drama Shastri Sisters has reached a tumultuous juncture one year later. The show has been leading viewers through a number of emotional landmines after Kajal’s constant strife with the family for property, inevitably causing Rohan to be sent to jail. And as Shastri Sisters continues to keep viewers engrossed very single week, the show is set to add to the twists and turns as it takes a one year leap.

Vinay (Jaideep Suri) works in tabela owned by Surbhi's(Pooja Sharma) father. They are in love with each other, but because of class difference between the two, Surbhi’s father will marry her off to Aniket, who is a Dubai based rich businessman.

The story will take a major twist when the Surbhi will visit her hometown after a year to attend the marriage of her relative. She will show off about her husband’s richness and tells that Aniket is getting 50 gold bars, making her father and brother hatch a devious plan. They would murder Aniket and put the blame on Vinay. After that Vinay would also be killed.

When contacted Jaideep said, "Yes, I am did an episodic of Bhawar and I enjoyed shooting for the show."

It would be interesting to see, how the mischievous case of double murder would be solved.

The episode will air on coming Saturday (7 February, 2015).

The love triangle between Anushka-Rajat-Karishma in Shastri Sisters is set to take yet another twist. While Anushka gathers solid proof by recording her conversation with Karishma about Karishma having hid Rajat’s confidential CD, Karishma knocks Anushka unconscious and locks her up in the boot of her SUV.

While Karishma makes sure that her guards are keeping a hawk’s eye out on Anushka, she forbids Rohan from going to the SUV. Meanwhile, back in the Sareen house, the preparations for Rajat and Karishma’s wedding are in full swing. Seated in a dimly lit room, Rajat has flashes of moments he spent with Anushka when Minty puts a kaala tikka on his forehead to keep her son from all evil’s eye.

Anushka and Rajat’s love story will take yet another direction as Karishma, Rajat’s ex-girlfriend, convinces Rajat that in order to have Anushka confess her feelings to him, he should get her jealous. Karishma volunteers to play the role of his “love interest”. When Rajat fakes a call full of sweet nothings to Karishma in front of an unaffected Anushka, he gets worried that the plan may not be working. Recounting his worries to Karishma, she pacifies him saying that the plan will work for sure. Little does Rajat know that Anushka is indeed burning with jealousy!

Meanwhile, Karishma invests in her ulterior motive and requests her family to take her proposal for Rajat to the Sareen family. While Buaji and Alka are not convinced, Astha and Hari are completely in favour of the idea. Since Rajat believes that Karishma is doing this to only get Anushka to admit her feelings for Rajat, he seeks his father’s help to take the plan forward. Rajat requests Sareen to somehow have Anushka witness the scene of Karishma’s proposal. Knowing that his son is thoroughly in love with Anushka, Sareen agrees to do the same. When Anushka witnesses the scene, she is shocked into silence. When she finally finds her tongue, she congratulates both, Rajat and Karishma on this new change in their lives.

Will Anushka ever admit to her feelings or will Karishma succeed in her plan of getting married to Rajat?

#ShastriSisters: Devyani to return her ring to Rajat!

Colors’ slice of life drama has taken yet another interesting turn when Nikki and Minty’s plan against Devyani finally came to life.

Rajat revealed his feelings for Anushka in front of both, the Sareen as well as the Shastri family! A heartbroken Devyani locks herself up in her room and refuses to open the room to anyone. When Sareen scolds Minty for misunderstanding Rajat’s choice, Rajat feels bad and takes the blame for the miscommunication.

Devyani will finally realise that, in spite of her feelings for Rajat, she will not be able to keep him happy if he does not love her back. When Devyani finally emerges out of the room, she returns the ring to Rajat.

Will this be the end of her love story with Rajat? What does the future hold for Devyani?

Nikki hatches yet another manipulative plan to show Devyani that Anushka and Rajat are getting close to each other behind her back. While she sends Devyani to the market, Minti sends Rajat to the Shastri house to bring the cylinder. He bumps into Anushka in the storeroom where the cylinder is placed.

Upon Devyani’s return from the market, Nikki moulds her mind against Anushka. Meanwhile, Anushka and Rajat realise that someone has locked the storeroom door. Nikki reveals to Devyani that Anushka and Rajat are alone together in the storeroom! She tells Devyani to call the rest of the family. Devyani follows her instructions and immediately calls Shastriji!

Now what will happen? Will Rajat and Anushka’s feelings be revealed in front of the family?

Shastri Sisters is the perfect example of an intertwined love triangle. While Rajat and Anushka have fallen in love with each other, Devyani is head over heels in love with Rajat and Neel has given his heart away to Devyani.

In tonight's episode, we will see that Rajat, unaware of his mom Minty and his aunt Nicky asking for Devyani's hand in marriage for him, gets excited at the thought that he can have a chance with Anushka. Neel's world gets shattered when he overhears the conversation between Minty and Nicky.

Depressed by the thought of Devyani getting married to his older brother Rajat, Neel gets drunk. While Minty is worried about Neel, he misbehaves with Devyani when she apologises to Neel.

When Devyani goes back home and narrates the incident to Anushka, she hugs Devyani with a broken heart.

How will this love story turn out? Will Rajat end up getting married to Devyani? Will Neel ever overcome his depression?

Alka, who is aware of Devyani's feelings for Rajat, is shocked to hear that Anushka too has feelings for Rajat. She goes to the Shastri household to meet Anushka and confronts her about Devyani's feelings for Rajat.

At this point, Sareen enters the house with Nikki and Minty asking for Devyani's hand in marriage for Rajat.Upon hearing this, Anushka is heart broken. Narayan Shastri requests some more time to think about it.

The plot will thicken in Colors' popular show Shastri Sisters when Devyani keeps a karwa chauth fast for Rajat.

Till now we have seen that Neel has evidently developed feelings for Devyani. Apparantely, Devyani has made no qualms about keeping her crush on Neel’s brother Rajat a secret from her sisters.

Devyani reveals to Alka that she is keeping a fast for Rajat. And when Mr. Shastri calls Devyani for breakfast, she makes an excuse and takes the plate inside her room and throws the food away. She joins Alka and Minty in the morning to have sargee.  Neel noticed her and assumed that she kept fast for him.

#ShastriSisters: Will Alka divorce Rohan?

Shastri Sisters will see a major highpoint this week with Alka (Neha Pednekar) receiving her divorce papers from Rohan (Sujay Reu).

Rajeev (Sumit Verma) has made a comeback to cause havoc in Alka’s paradise and the poor girl has been at the receiving end! Above all, Rajeev has succeeded in breaking ties between the newly married couple.

Now, in the coming episodes, Rohan will be seen sending divorce papers to Alka. But there will be more to what would meet the eye.

Hari (Prithvi Zutshi) will have a hand in this, and Rohan will not even know that he is being asked to sign on divorce papers. When the signed papers will reach Alka, she will be heartbroken.

In the meanwhile, yet another interesting twist that will take place this week will be of Rajeev’s arrest. He will yet again come to Alka’s house and play his dirty game when Alka will take a stand to end this then and there. With the help of Rajat (Vijayendra Kumeria), Alka will get
Rajeev arrested.

Is letter ‘R’ auspicious for Shastri Sisters?

While the King Khan has made Rahul and Raj universally popular Indian names, the cast and crew of Shastri Sisters is on its way to take the ‘R’ legacy forward. Upon having consulted a guru, the production house of COLORS’ popular show Shastri Sisters, Shankutalam Productions learned that the letter ‘R’ was indeed lucky for the show.

The creative team of the show then took a unanimous decision to have the names of the male characters begin with the letter ‘R’. Since Sumit Bharadwaj had already been coined the name ‘Neel’, the creative team named the remaining three young actors Rajat (played by Vijayendra Kumeria), Rohan (played by Sujay Reu) and Rajiv (played by Sumit Verma).

When Anushka brings a teary-eyed Alka home, Minty Sareen suspiciously observes them as Alka also brings with her a big bag.

Narayan Shastri is pleased to see her daughter. Anushka, a loyal sister, hides the real reason behind Alka’s return. While Devyani makes plans to sort out things between Alka and Rohan, it looks like her plan may just backfire.

On the other hand, Rajat tells Narayan about the self-defence camp and importance of self-defence. He convinces Naryan Shastri to send Devyani and Anushka for the camp.
