Actor Karan Sharma, who was last seen in Star
Plus' 'Mohi – Ek Khwab Ke Khilne Ki Kahani' got married to singer-turned
actress Tiaara Kar on 16 November. Since Karan is Garhwali and Tiaara
is a Bengali, so it was a double wedding for. Their wedding was
conducted according to two traditions in Karan’s hometown, Ranipokhari
in Uttarakhand.
We heard, "Karan wore the conventional Bengali topor (conical headgear), while Tiaara was lifted by her brothers and taken around him in seven circles. After that they took saat pheras according to Garhwali customs, during which Tiaara wore a traditional Garhwali tehri nath (nose ring)."
After the government made an announcement of abolition of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 note, Karan was left bewildered. Organizers wanted payment in cash, so it was a bit difficult for Karan to make the advance payments in cash. The actor, however, welcome Narendra Modi government's path breaking decision. During the wedding he mock-begged his guests to give him change of Rs.1,000 note or queue up outside ATMs to withdraw the cash.
The actor did the shows like Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Pavitra Rishta, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai etc was so excited when the baraat reached the venue that he started dancing on Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa's song 'Utha Le Jaunga Tujhe Main'. While dancing, he gave his shoes away to his saalis and paid a handsome bribe to get them back.
When contacted, Karan said, "I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life. As now I am a married man, so I need to push myself out of my comfort zone and become more responsible. I need be more disciplined and reach home on time after shoot."
