Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, who directed the megahit Dangal starring Aamir Khan, has just begun his new venture Chhichhore, being collaboratively produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. Introducing a poster of the film last week, the director described the film as "a timeless tale of time pass."
The poster introduced the film's lead actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor along with the other characters, who could be seen dressed in two drastically different get-ups. In one of the looks, the actors were seen as students, while the other seemed to portray them as middle-aged people.
While Aamir Khan famously underwent body transformations to play Mahaveer Phogat in Nitesh’s 2016 directorial Dangal, the filmmaker seems to have put in extensive research for this one too.
In a recent tete-a-tete with a publication, the filmmaker said, “The looks have been designed by Preetisheel Singh, whose work I really like. For reference points, I shared snaps of my friends from college days to present day. The biggest challenge was getting all the characters in the film to age differently with time. So, everything was planned thoughtfully, and she has executed them with a lot of finesse.”
Preetisheel has earlier designed looks for movies such as Bajirao Mastani, Housefull 3, Mom, the Tamil film 24, Brothers, Rangoon, Parched, Shivaay, Talwar, House Next Door, Haider, Ghayal Once Again, Finding Fanny, Hawaizaada and more recent ones including Padmaavat, 102 Not Out, Mulk and Andhadhun. She has also won the 'National Film Award for Best Makeup' for the pre-Mughal historical epic Nanak Shah Fakir.
What's more! The lady has even set up India's first make-up and prosthetic lab called Da Makeup Lab with a goal to bring standards of make-up and prosthetic in India at par with Hollywood.
