While the industry is still reeling with the passing away of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor in April, and Wajid Khan from the Sajid-Wajid duo fell prey to the coronavirus pandemic, Bollywood has to now deal with yet another loss. 'Pavitra Rishta' fame Sushant was 34 years old, committed suicide today.
We heard, he was found hanging at his residence in Bandra. A team of Mumbai Police has already reached his residence to investigate the matter. More details about are awaited.
Deputy commissioner of police and Mumbai police spokesperson Pranay Ashok said, "Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating. We have has not found any note yet."
As per the latest reports, Sushant Singh Rajput was under treatment for depression. Taking to Twitter journalist Sudhir Chaudhary wrote, “Sushant hanged himself at his home in Mumbai. Documents show he was under treatment for depression.”
Akshay Kumar wrote, “Honestly this news has left me shocked and speechless...I remember watching #SushantSinghRajput in Chhichhore and telling my friend Sajid, its producer how much I’d enjoyed the film and wish I’d been a part of it. Such a talented actor...may God give strength to his family.” The actor’s former manager Disha Salian reportedly committed suicide last week. Sushant had tweeted his shock at the distressing news on social media.
Sushant was an excellent artist with so much more potential sadly cut short. May his soul Rest In Peace.
