These are a few things, which I learned from Lord Shiv and Parvati's love story:

Men can cry and still be men..

Sati summoned her inner yoga fire and died of mortification. Her husband Shiv, who is stronger than the strongest thing in the entire Universe was bereft, mad with grief. He cried, placed her charred body on his shoulders, and began the dance of destruction.

Is suicide is a cowardly act?

 

'Suicide is a cowardly act, and the majority of those who do it go to hell.' 

Someone, I know shamelessly shared this on whatsapp status after a charismatic hip-hop dancer Stephen tWitch Boss committed suicide.

How can we assume that those who commit suicide are cowards?

'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' fame Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai, The 34-year-old actor was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra on Sunday (14/06/2020) morning, and a domestic help alerted the police.

Till now much have been said, rumoured and written about Jiah Khan, who recently committed suicide.  Her alleged relationship with boyfriend Suraj Pancholi (Aditya Pancholi’s son) was supposed to be the main reason for her suicide. Sooraj was arrested in connection with Jiah's suicide a few weeks back and is reportedly facing a hard time. He was arrested on the basis of a suicide letter, which is claimed to be written by the late actress.

So far we couldn't come across any picture of Jiah and Suraj together. But a picture of duo in which the actress being passionately kissed on her cheek by Suraj is making rounds on the internet.

The picture was clicked when the two were dating. The couple looks very happy and in love in each other's company.  However there love story didn’t meet a perfect-end as expected and brought Suraj into controversy, after Jiah losing her life.

Well..all love stories do not have a happy ending..

Dearest Suraj

I know I have hurt you and hurt myself. I am deeply sorry from the depths of my heart. I promise myself, my family, my god that this side of me will and has completely disappeared. Being with you has been a blessing, it has opened my eyes to love, devotion and the real world. You have changed me and I thank you for that. You have been my savior, loving you has forced me into becoming happy, stable and secure. I finally see the light. You need to understand I am not the girl you saw that night. This right now is me. Loving, nurturing and understanding. I felt so insecure with you, but the love you showed me those two days has enlightened me. I might not get the opportunity to show you this but if can I will, I start by this simple gesture to all 3 of you.

Thank you for being the most beautiful human being to me. I promise to only help you to get where you want to be and make your father and mother proud. You have helped me so much. I want to give you all in return. I know you are the only one for me. Whether as a husband, boyfriend, friend or plain acquaintance. I will always be yours. I have so much love to give. No more tears or sadness or pity or anger. The words you said to me after made sense. You've been my angel. Once again I apologise. Another letter written by Jiah Khan to Sooraj Pancholi :-

I am writing this to you because I don't know how else to communicate with you. I care for you deeply and it hurts me to know you don't trust me. I know you are young and I am very sensitive. I'm sorry, I can't help it. When I love and care for someone I get very emotional. I never thought I would meet someone like you and feel the way I feel. You've given me so much excitement and happiness. At times though I feel like I am being taken for granted. I know you don't mean it, but I wish you would show me more respect, love and appreciation. Its not much to ask. I'm an all or nothing kind of girl. When I give my heart, I give myself totally. I wish you would do the same. I would take care of you, and love you like no one ever has. I am deeply romantic and a genuine yet complex person

I will never hurt you or betray you. Please learn to trust me and give into me completely. All I ask of you is to make more of an effort like how you were when we first met, caring, sweet, emotional and addictive. I will never believe rumours about you, I will learn to trust you as well. Don't try and make me jealous or cry. All I want is to love you and have beautiful days with you filled with happiness and excitement. The minute I feel insecure I close myself up. Take care of me, love me, I'm just a lost girl, but I feel safe with you. I am yours and hope to be for a long time. Open up to me baby, be my prince charming and sweep me off my feet. Nishabd actress Jiah Khan committed suicide..

Britain born Model-turned-actress Jiah Khan, who made debut starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Ramgopal Varma’s Nishabd, has committed suicide yesterday (03 May, 2013)

 She hanged herself with a piece of cloth, at her residence (Sagar Tarang in Juhu, Mumbai). According to the police, Jiah ended her life at about 11 pm but did not leave any suicide note. She was struggling with depression.

The 25-year-old actress body has been shifted for autopsy at Cooper Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. Police is investigating reasons that would have led to suicide.

Her real name is Nafisa. Rabiya Amin (her mother), was a lesser-known actress in 1980s. Rabiya was best remembered for appearing in Tahir Hussain's ‘Dulha Bikta Nahin’.

Young Nafisa studied film and literature in London and then moved to New York to attend the famed Lee Strasberg Academy of Dramatic Arts. She quit her acting course after she got offer in Bollywood.

She was supposed to do Mahesh Bhatt's ‘Tumsa Nahin Dekha’ (which was released in 2004).  Jiah, who was then just 16, backed out of the role of a strip dancer. She felt it was too mature for her, later she was replaced by Dia Mirza.

She debuted in 2007 opposite Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, 70 in ‘Nishabd’., which released in 2007. The film which a controversial story-line was reportedly inspired by both Kevin Spacey film American Beauty and Rajesh Khanna's Anokha Rishta. Jiah played a seductive teen, who falls in love with her best friend's father (Amitabh Bachchan). The film shocked critics and cine-goers with its provoking content. Jiah was extensively praised for her confidence, screen presence and appeal. She was nominated for a Filmfare Best Debut award and became known as Bollywood's next big thing.

She later bagged superhit film Ghajini (released in 2008), starring Aamir Khan and Asin. Jiah played medical student Sunita who investigates and then befriends a puzzling businessman with amnesia.

Her third film Housefull (2010) was a blockbuster, in which she played the third female lead with Deepika Padukone and Lara Dutta.

She was also cast opposite Shahid Kapoor in ‘Chance Pe Dance’. She was replaced by Genelia D’Souza, after shooting a large portion of the film.

She was rumoured to be Aamir Khan’s step sister. Aamir’s father, producer Tahir Hussain had worked with Jiah’s mother Rabiya in a few films several years back. And it all started with that ‘working relationship’. By the way, Jiah herself doesn’t know who her father is, except the information passed on by her mother that her father was an American.

Her last tweet dated 24 May, says  “So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts (sic).”

 Her death was greeted with shock and sadness in the film fraternity.

 Bachchan tweeted, “WHAT ...!!! Jiah Khan ??? what has happened ? is this correct ? unbelievable !!!”

Director Ram Gopal Varma tweeted, "Shocked and choked to hear about Jiah ... So young and so pretty ... Just cant believe that someone as young nd so full of life is just dead(sic)"

Actor Arshad Warsi tweeted, “Shocked to hear about Jiah Khan, she was too young to give up on life... RIP.”

Shahid Kapoor too tweeted, “Shocked n saddened to hear about jiah khan ... Very disturbing ... RIP ....may her soul rest in peace (sic).”

 Kunal Kapoor wrote, “So shocked and saddened by this terrible news!! May your soul find peace #Jiah khan (sic),”

Bipasha Basu too took to Twitter, "#Rip Jiah Khan!God bless her soul!(sic)"

"Very sad news about Jiah khan :( makes me feel vulnerable :(... It's a strange world(sic)," tweeted Aditi Rao Hydari.

Actor-comedian Vir Das wrote, "It's just incredibly sad when anyone so young takes their own life. R.I.P Jiah Khan.(sic)"

Director Kunal Kohli tweeted, "What she must've gone thru to take such a step we'll never know. May her soul rest in peace. Jiah Khan."

"Shocked and saddened by the news ... Gone way too soon... RIP Jiah Khan(sic)," wrote Neha Dhupia on the micro-blogging site.

Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "Its shocking to hear that a young one has commited suicide.may your soul rest in peace jiah khan!too young to go!(sic)"

Sandhya Mridul's tweet read: "Oh god why ... Rip Jiah .. May you find love & joy wherever you are ..(sic)"
