Ever since the first promo of COLORS’ upcoming fiction offering hit airwaves, audience anticipation has been at an all-time high to get a glimpse into the lives the Shastri Sisters! COLORS today announced the launch date and time slot for the show. Shastri Sisters will be going on-air starting 21st July, 2014 and will air every Monday to Saturday at 7.00 PM on the channel.

Shastri Sisters traces the journey of four sisters as they move from Kanpur to Delhi along with their father. The story speaks of the challenges faced by them on being uprooted from their childhood homes and their support for each other through life’s hardship and struggles.

On the show, Neha Pednekar will be essaying the role of the oldest sister Alka, Ishita Ganguly will be seen portraying the character of second sister Anushka, Sonal Vengurlekar will portray the role of the third sister Devyani, whereas Pragati Chourasiya will be essaying the character of the youngest sister Peeya.

Shastri Sisters is produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms of Na Aana Iss Desh Laado fame.

Vaishnavi Dhanraj to play Delhi rape victim Nirbhaya

'Na Aana Iss Des Laado' fame Vaishnavi Dhanraj Sahrawat, who was last seen as Hidamba in Star Plus' Mahabharat will play Delhi gang-rape victim Nirbhaya in Aaj Tak's unique series 'Satyagraha' based on Mahatama Gandhi's ideals.

According to our sources, "This particular episode based on Dehli gang rape will telecast today (08 March, 2014) and tomorrow (09 March, 2014) on Aaj Tak's recently launch weekly show Satyagraha. Vaishnavi is playing Nirbhaya."

Our source further added, "After the death Nirbhaya's soul met Gandhi. He will talk to Nirbhaya and try to console her. She later explained the whole incident to Gandhi's spirit and described how she was brutally raped."

When contacted Vaishnavi confirmed the news, "Yes I am playing Nirbhaya, who was raped and brutally beaten after being lured on to a bus on 16th December, 2012 in Munirka (New Delhi).  Playing Nirbhaya was a biggest challenge for me as an actor, I hope audience will like it."

Aditya Redij to tie the knot with Natasha Sharma tonight!

Aditya Redij &Natashamohan Sharma fell in love while they were doing Laadoo and got engaged on 29 April 2012).

The duo is getting married tonight (07 January, 2014) in a small family affair  in Kolhapur, Maharastra. The reception will be held tomorrow.

When contacted Natasha said, “Yes finally we are getting married today in mix of Punjabi and Marathi rituals. I am agitated, it’s a big day for both me and Aditya.”

We wish Aditya Redij and Natasha Sharma hearty congratulations for the wedding and wish that they have a blissful life ahead!!

Newly married Vaishnavi Dhanraj & Nitin Sahrawat enjoying their honeymoon!!

Sweet and bubbly actress Vaishnavi Dhanraj, last seen in Colors’ ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’, hasrecently got married to model turned actor Nitin Sahrawat.

When contacted she said, “We got married in Shantikunj Haridwar on December 23 last year, later reception was in Dehradun.”

She further added, “I went to meet my friend Sangeeta, who was then directing second season of Kitni Mohabbat Hai. She earlier directed my first show Karan Apna Apna. Nitin was shooting there, that was the first time I met him. Gradually our friendship started blossoming and now we got married after almost 2 years of courtship.”

When asked about honeymoon plans, she smiled and said, “We didn’t plan, but came to Goa to relax and it turned out to be a honeymoon and we are simply enjoying. We discovered a secluded beach together which we wouldn't want a name as we would want it to stay secluded. We stayed in the hut right on the beach n it turned out to be a perfect vacation we could have imagined. As for the actual honeymoon we would be back packing across ASEAN countries in a couple of month’s time.”
 So, when will she resuming work? “So many things are in the pipeline. Right now, I am enjoying my personal things as soon as I will get a good offer will resume work,” quips Vaishnavi.

Aditya Redij and Natashamohan Sharma get engaged

Na aana is desh laado's lead Aditya Redij(Raghav) &Natashamohan Sharma(Sia) got engaged yesterday(29 April 2012) in Dehli in a small family affair. They fell in love while they were doing Laadoo.

Confirming the news Natasha said, “Yes, we got engaged. It was a quick decision so we were not able to invite all the friends, only our parents are siblings were present. Marriage is not on the cards, it will some time. Aditya and I wanted to concentrate on our careers.”

Congrats Natasha and Aditya, we wish you a great life of togetherness!
