We reported earlier that Bollywood actress Amrita Rao has given look test for Shashi Sumeet Mittal's next for Star Plus.

However, the 'Vivah' fame actress with girl-next-door image, failed to impress the channel officials. They felt that she doesn’t fit the bill and looks a bit older to play a young college going Mathura girl.

Now the question is, who will replace Amrita? We heard, "The channel is planning to approach Kritika Kamra, who is recently evicted from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa."

Bubbly, cute, girl-next-door actress Amrita rao will soon make debut on small screen. Rao has been finalized to play the protagonist in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's next for Star Plus.

According to our sources, "The new show is a love story with strong family drama. Amrita has given a look test for the part."

Amrita's younger sister Preetika Rao has already made her mark in the TV industry as Aaliya in her debut show 'Beintehaa' on Colors.

Aaliya catches Barkat smoking a beedi!..

In the coming episode of Beintehaa, Aaliya (Preetika Rao) will catch Barkat(Dimple Jhangiani) smoking a beedi, but Zain (Harshad Arora) comes to her rescue. The Abdullah family decide they will not ask Barkat anything about her past and the life that she has lived before. They decide that will not do anything to make her uncomfortable.

Shazia (Namrata Pathak) and Nafisa (Gunjan Vijaya) though want to dig and find out about her past, but Suraiya (Suchitra Pillai) and Osman warn them to stay away.

The family decide to throw a party to introduce Barkat to their world and as a surprise for Barkat. At the Party, Barkat gets spotted by a sleazy producer and tells her that he knows her and about her past as as a junior dancer in films. Aaliya overhears hears the same.

Zain and Aaliya's new avatar in Beintehaa

Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) will be seen in a totally different avatar in the upcoming episodes of COLORS Beintehaa.

As per the track of the show, Zain's brother Fahad keeps the papers of Barjat Royale with a don named Raghu as a collatrel for the money he borrowed from him. When Fahad returns the borrowed money, Raghu don refuses to give back the papers and he demands for more Rs. 5 crores as interest to release the papers. Zain and Aaliya go to meet the don and try taking the papers back, but they get thrown out of the house. Zain and Aaliya decide to get the papers back by hook or crook and they devise a plan. They decide to go to don's daughter's wedding party in disguise.

They reach the room where the papers are kept, but will they be successful in getting the papers back or will get caught? Keep watching Beintehaa on Colors.

Puru Chibber to enter Beintehaa as Aayat's secret admirer

Puru Chibber, who was last seen as Sachin Manav Deshmukh in television show Pavitra Rishta, will be seen entering Fortune Productions' Beintehaa. His character will be called Rocky Jazz, a casting director in the show.

According to our sources, “Aaliya’s(Preetika Rao) sister Aayat(Yaashika Gupta) Aayat wants to earn some money through modelling therefore she take help from Rocky. He will give her an assignment for which she will be getting Rs 25, 000 as remuneration.”

Our source further added, “Aayat has been shown as receiving amorous gifts from a secret admirer and she is slowly falling for him. Puru Chibber's character of Rocky Jazz will lead Aayat down to a dangerous path.”

Puru remained unavailable to comment.
