COLORS flagship show Balika Vadhu becomes India’s first drama series to cross the 2000 episodes mark. Over the years, Balika Vadhu became an embodiment of content true to societal customs and beliefs. From child marriage, domestic abuse, marital rape and even remarriage, Balika Vadhu consistently showcased the realities of rural India, became a harbinger for social change, took a stand towards women empowerment through its strong female protagonists and even encouraged girl child education.  Since its launch, Balika Vadhu struck a favourable chord with audiences and this landmark feat marks the reunion Anandi and her long lost daughter Nimboli who was caught in the web of child marriage.

As the mother and daughter reunite, Balika Vadhu’s storyline will shift focus to Anandi and Nimboli’s budding relationship in the coming weeks. With Mangala Devi (Rajeshwari Sachdev) running away with Nimboli, it is now in Anandi’s hands to change her equation with her daughter and take her back home. But will Nimboli emotionally connect with her mother after so many years or will her bond with Mangala Devi hold her back.

Commenting on the mother-daughter reunion, Anandi aka Toral Rasputra said, “They say that the strongest bond in the world is that which is shared by a mother and her daughter. Over the past two years, I have had the good fortune to experience a multitude of emotions while living the life of Anandi on Balika Vadhu. Recognizing their contribution to the world of Indian music, COLORS has joined hands with the music giant to put together a tribute concert celebrating the illustrious life and works of the man behind the establishment called Suron Ke Rang - Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar.

Mika does a Madonna in Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi..

We all know of Madonna shooting to her virgin heights in the West with her chartbuster “Papa Don’t Preach.” The song catapulted the wild-child of Hollywood to hysteric fame with the youth and became an anthem with young westerners for decades to follow.

Now, India’s music wild-child Mika Singh is all set to come out with “Baap Hona Paap” a sort of reverse-engineered song from “Papa Don’t Preach” for the upcoming film Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi (HDKD).

“It’s a peppy humourous song from a father’s point of view, underlining the irony of things,” says the film’s director-cum-music composer Fauzia Arshi. “Mika sings about the new-age hi-tech, uncontrolled, over-intelligent generation, born into an era with everything is on their finger tips.”

What’s more! Mika will don the caricature avatar in this song which will feature as a fully-animated introductory song of HDKD. Do we see a Rakhi Sawant drooling her eyes?

The film has five great comedians Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Raajpal Yadav, Razzaq Khan and the veteran Kader Khan coming together. Produced by Santosh Bhartiya and Fauzia Arshi, HDKD releasing on October 16, has music, story, dialogues and direction by Fauzia Arshi.

In week 36(September 5 – 11, 2015) of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings,Colors is back on top to take the No.1 spot and has displaced leader Star Plus that had regained the top spot last week.. It may be recalled that while in week 34 Colors made history by becoming the number one channel, in week 35, Star Plus managed to regain its lead position.

Mika Singh has become the first singer-caricature in a feature film to have an entire animated song to himself in Fauzia Arshi’s upcoming film Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi (HDKD).
