Raqesh Vashisth to play chemistry teacher in Gippi

Chocolaty boy Raqesh Vashisth, who was last seen in Sony TV’s  ‘Honge Judaa Naa Hum'  will soon be seen in the upcoming Bollywood movie, Gippi.

According to our sources, he will be playing a chemistry teacher of Gippy (Riya Vij).Earlier Ranbir Kapoor was approached by Dharma production to play this role.

We heard he didn’t want to talk about his role in the films as last time his role was almost chopped off from Madhur Bhandarkar’s Kareena Kapoor starter Heroine.

We tried to contact Raqesh but he remained unavailable to comment.

Kareena will be a shocker in ‘Heroine’: Madhur Bhandarkar

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar asserts that Kareena Kapoor’s performance in his latest project “Heroine” is not only fabulous, it will also be a shocker for her fans.

“Her character Mahi Arora is very contemporary, very edgy, very hard-hitting and very real like my other cinema. Kareena will definitely be a shock element to the people because of the way she has worked in the film,” the 43-year-old producer-director said here at the launch of photographer Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar.

“I am looking at the film because I know the story, I know the screenplay, I know the dialogues. She will be fabulous,” he added.

Known for his films like “Chandni Bar”, “Satta”, “Page 3″, “Traffic Signal” and “Fashion”, Bhandarkar believes “Heroine” will be a milestone in Kareena’s career.

” ‘Heroine’ is 25 percent over. The next schedule is in February, March and April and the picture will release in September. The way you people are waiting for the film, so am I. I hope it finishes really soon,” he said.

The director found himself in a tight spot when Aishwarya Rai, the original choice for the film, decided to quit the project due to her pregnancy.

Kareena is also expected to tie the knot with Saif Ali Khan early this year and the actress may wrap the film up before that.

RaQesh Vashisth to play one of the male lead in ‘Heroine’

Highly talented RaQesh Vashisth earlier called Rakesh Bapat who is currently essaying the role of Aditya in Star Plus' show Maryada, is all set to embark on a new journey in Bollywood. His debut film ‘Tum Bin’ was declared a hit after that he was featured in many films and serials.

Though he is one of the successful actors at television he always has the itch to make a comeback on silver screen. Fortunately he has bagged the pivotal and plum role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming Movie ‘Heroine’.

According to the sources, “‘Heroine’ approaches the journey of Mahhi Khanna, played by Kareena, to stardom and how her life goes through ups and downs. While Arjun Rampal has been signed to play a male lead, there is another role for a younger actor who Kareena romances. RaQesh Vashisth is finalished to play that role, in fact he started shooting for the same. Arjun and RaQesh are two superstars like Sharukh Khan and Aamir Khan. RaQesh falls in love with Kareena during the shooting of their movie. The movie becomes super hit, after that their equation changes.RaQesh's gets more praise than Kareena's because of the male dominant industry.”

The film will take audiences on a voyeuristic trip to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of makeup rooms and vanity vans, exposes the dark side of the glamour world. It will give audience a chance to go beyond the stunning smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of actors, the implausible highs of fame & the lonely depths of failure.

The film also stars Divya Dutta.

In an interview with Scrutiny, RaQesh expressed his desire to do a cult project that's why he opted for Maryada. We tried contacting RaQesh, but he remained unavailable to comment.

Kareena craving for National Award

Madhur Bhandarkar’s much talked Heroine went on the floors on November 26. Kareena Kapoor, who plays a Bollywood superstar in the film, shot for a scene where she was required to pose for pictures for photographer Dabboo Ratnani.  Arjun Rampal, is also playing a superstar in Heroine.

She had been approached for the film first, but due to date issues the film fell into Aishwarya Rai's kitty. But thanks to Abhishek Bachchan, after this Aish became pregnant and opted out. Kareena stepped in to save her director, although with some conditions like ‘no kissing’.

Bebo is at the peak of her career, in recent times she has been a part of some of the biggest blockbusters.

Currently she is working with biggest and best names in the B-Town. In fact she has upped the ante by signing ‘Heroine’, which is based on dark side of glamour world. She has won almost all popular awards and the major reason for her to accept Bhandarkar’s movie is that she wants to win a National Award.

She has even made it to Madame Tussauds wax museum, London.

Recently a survey is conducted by Eastern Eye - Britain's foremost portal for Asian news and entertainment - through social networks in order to determine readers' choices for 2011's 'Sexiest Asian women'. Kareena, took the top spot for the very first time since they began conducting the poll leaving behind Mom Ki Gudiya Katrina Kaif.

We can say the world is at her feet but National Award- country’s highest recognition as an actor has dodged her so far; though it occupies a place of pride on her closest competition, Priyanka Chopra’s shelf.

Bebo stated in a promotional video that though she is nervous about her role in Heroine, she aims to make this film a milestone one in her career. She wants Heroine to be bigger than any of Bhandarkar’s previous films.  Priyanka Chopra won National award for Bhandarkar’s Fashion.

I guess Kareena will leave no stone unturned to prove to the globe that she is the real czarina of Bollywood.
