Kapil Sharma made his mark as a stand-up comedian. He is reportedly dating Preeti Simoes, creative director of Comedy Circus..

A little birdie from the industry quips, “Kapil and Preeti are very much in love and they have been seeing each other for more than two years. They both met on the set of Comedy Circus and gradually started dating.”

When we contacted Preeti who is head over heels in love with Kapil said, “I am not a celebrity so what quotes or confirmation I will give.”  She then said it’s our personal matter, please let it go.

Kapil first denied, “I don’t even know who preeti is?”. Later he said, he doesn’t want to comment on this as it’s their personal matter.

Agent Vinod loses out to Aazaan and Singham

While Agent Vinod is garnering a mixed response from its audiences, an internet poll has voted the movie much behind last year’s action releases like Singham and Aazaan, with Players and Don 2 also being part of the poll.

In an audience poll on a leading social networking site this week, the Saif Ali Khan starrer ranked behind Ajay Devgn's Singham and Sachiin Joshi's Aazaan in the race for the best action movies of the year. Luckily, going by its current hype, the film managed to beat Don 2 and Players by a small margin.

"While Aazaan had riveting action and breathtaking locales matching Hollywood production values, Singham made sure it stunned everyone with its car stunts and South Indian cinema style larger-than-life action," says a trade analyst.

"Though Agent Vinod moves from one country to another, exploring different locations at a rapid pace, its script leaves a lot to be desired," he adds.

Going by the latest trends, it seems Bollywood still has to learn a few lessons before it can match up to Hollywood finesse the way Aazaan or Players did.

Rajat Barmecha in road movie Disco Valley

Giving him company will be Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan and a pig!

Rajat Bharmecha, who won accolades for his performance as an abused son in Udaan, will team up with Naseeruddin Shah’s younger son Vivaan for a buddy flick called Disco Valley. Their third collaborator in the Fijian fun-fest is a pig!

The film will have the usual three-buddies-on-road-trip format in Fiji. And the specially trained pig in Disco Valley would not only share screen space with the two young actors, the animal would also be part of all the fun that would unfold on screen.


Confirming that a pig would be the third lead in Disco Valley, producer Siddharth Jain of I Rock said, “We are flying down a specially-trained pig from Australia to join the other two actors in the film in Fiji. The pig would be as central to the comedy as the human characters.” Disco Valley will be directed by Sajit Warrier, who had helmed the unreleased thriller Fired in 2010 with Rahul Bose in the lead.

'Kahani Chandrakanta Ki' tipped to go off air

Sahara One's 'Kahani Chandrakanta Ki', second season of Chandrakanta which is Doordarshan's biggest grosser on 90s, has come to an end.

Former Miss India Shikha Swaroop played the lead character again hit the tube on June 6 last year.

Actor Santosh Shukla stepped into the shoes of Shahbaaz Khan to play Maharaj Virendra Singh.

Rahul Mahajan's wife Dimpy  was also featured as an Icchadhari Naagin Jawala.  She was seen plotting a vengeance on a dacoit, Mangal Singh (Inder Kumar) because he killed Jeewan(Santosh Shukla).

In last couple of months the show has undergone a lot of changes with the lead actor of the show being shown the door and the characters of Maharaja Virendra Singh and Jeewan ending prematurely.

Despite of strong story line and fabulous performance, sequel of fantasy drama is not able to garner TRPs. The show was under scanner from last 3-4 months. Now we hear that finally its going off air March 27th.

Producer Sunil Agnihotri confirmed the news.

Shikha  who is well known as face of Chandrkanta said, “I am glad because I got another opportunity to play the same character in the second season of the show. Hum toh mehaz kirdar hai, asli hero toh channel aur producer hai. If they decided to end the show then they must have a reason behind it, after all they are the boss. I respect their decision.”

We contacted Santosh Shukla aka Virendra Singh and Jeewan, “I am little bit sad because the show is close to me. But I believe every good thing has to end. I am really really thankful to Sunil ji for giving me this opportunity. I am sure audience will miss Chandrakanta.”

Is Ali Mercchant in a relationship?

Ali Mercchant was recently seen in Life OK’s ‘Sach Ka Saamna’.

In one of the recent interview actor's ex-wife Sara Khan(Check: Past is gone),  put a full stop from the possibility of getting back together, “We both moved on, I am happy single and will soon find my prince charming and Ali is in a relationship.”

Sara’s statement about Ali’s relationship left fans rolling their eyes.  Gossipers started carving to find about Ali’s love interest.

He denied being in a relationship and said love will have to wait... well the wait for love is already over Ali.

A few days ago to tease Ali his friends started congratulating him on their Blackberry status.  Started with blackberry status update the rumours about Ali’s engagement began to spread like wildfire. At that time we contacted Ali, who denied getting engaged. We then updated the news on Scrutiny’s fan page and promised to reveal the details. So we are going to let the cat out of the bag here..

Her name is Jinita, she is Fashion Photographer and editor by profession.  After completing her graduation from Natcoll Institute of Technology, Auckland, she started looking for work in India.
Ali and Jineeta become good friends since they met at a common friend’s party.  They eventually began to bond and started dating. Love birds were spotted together in Nandish Sandhu’s birthday bash and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai success party. The two have been attending the social events and parties together ignoring the prying eyes.

When we contacted Ali, he denied being romantically involved with Jinita and said they are *just* friends.

All our efforts to contact Jinita were in vain.
