The actor is participating in the Celebrity Cricket League for the 'Punjab De Sher' team, was very close to his father. The news about his sudden demise has left 'Happy New Year' actor heartbroken.
Sonu's father was suffering from respiratory problems since years now. He was staying alone in Moga, following the death of Sonu’s mother almost 8 years back.
Yesterday, Sonu was in a conversation with his father, when his father suddenly collapsed and fell down from the bed. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors said he had died immediately after the attack.
Sonu’s sisters Monika and Malvika are married. One is in Punjab while other is settled abroad. Cremation will be held on Tuesday (09 February, 2016) after the sisters arrive.
