Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar passes away due to cardiac arrest

 

Sandwalwood mega star Puneeth Rajkumar passed away due to a heart attack. 

After suffering a major heart attack on October 29, Kannada star was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru. We now heard, he is no more.

Appu is a nickname given to Puneeth by his followers. He is the son of legendary actors Rajkumar and Parvathamma. He has played the male lead in over 29 Kannada films.

He began his career as a child actor, winning the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 1985 for his role in Bettada Hoovu. For his roles in Chalisuva Modagalu and Yeradu Nakshatragalu, he received the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist.

Puneeth's death has shocked the whole South Indian film industry, as the actor had just finished promoting Shivarajkumar's Bajrangi 2. The actor had even tweeted wishing the film luck today morning.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened up outside Puneeth Rajkumar's house following his death, and there is also intense protection around Vikram hospital, where he is claimed to be treated.
