Kajol's co-star Noor Malabika Das found dead in Mumbai home

Actress and former flight attendant Noor Malabika Das was found dead at her home in Mumbai, according to police reports. Known for her role in the web series 'The Trial' starring Bollywood star Kajol, Noor was discovered dead on June 6. The police believe it was a suicide, but they are still investigating.

We reported earlier, that Bollywood actress Amrita Rao was approached to play the lead role in Shashi-Sumeet Mittal's next for Star Plus. But channel decided to replace her, as they felt that she doesn’t fit the bill and looks a bit older to play the lead role.

Now we heard, Shivani Tomar who was last seen in Pavitra Rishta has been roped to play the female protogonist.

When contacted, Shivani confirmed the news, "Yes, I am doing that show and my character name is Swara, which might changed. Swara is like Kajol of DDLJ, har jagah pyaar ki talaash karti hai."

Chhanchhan fame Farhan Khan to play lead role in DDLJ sequel?

Actor Farhan Khan, who was last seen in Sony TV’s Chhanchhan starring Sanya Irani bagged a lead role in Aditya Chopra’s next.  The film is rumoured to be remake of 1995 blockbuster film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayege’. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol starrer DDLJ one of the biggest smash hits of Bollywood and went on to become one of the largest grosser in Indian film history.

According to our sources, "Aditya already started working on the script of the film, which is tentatively titled   ‘Dulhaniya Chali Dilwale Ke Saath’. The title might change later depending on the lyrics of the title song. Farhan Khan is shortlisted to play the lead role, evidently reprising SRK role from DDLJ. Actress Mahika Sharma will play Kajol’s part. Boman Irani and Paresh Rawal reprise roles played by Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher respectively in the original.”

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra Promoted their upcoming film 'Hasee toh Phasee' which is scheduled to release on 7th February, 2014 on 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'

The duo had a gala time shooting with Kapil and were seen laughing throughout. The film will be the Sidharth's second film after his impressive Bollywood debut in "Student of the Year." He is also said to be looking forward to his third project, an action drama titled "The Villain" under Ekta Kapoor production. 

While shooting for the Comedy show, Siddharth revealed that he and his Student of the Year co-star Varun Dhawan used to copy Shahrukh Khan-Kajol and learnt their romantic scenes from them.

He said that during the shoot of My Name is Khan, he and Varun were assisting Karan Johar. And to polish their acting skills, they used to enact romantic scenes that Kajol and SRK were doing in the film. He also revealed that he and Varun were huge fans of both the actors and were in complete awe of them when they used to act.

On the one hand Tanishaa Mukherji and Armaan Kohli's growing proximity is grabbing eyeballs in Bigg Boss house, whereas on the other hand this apparently has not gone down with the Tanuja,  Kajol and Ajay Devgan. Well there is someone else who isn't too happy with this growing closeness...

According to the grapevine, "Armaan was introduced to a girl named Tanya Singh by Vivek Mishra.  They gradually started liking each other and recently exchanged commitment rings. From last couple of months Tanya & Armaan are living together with latter's parents.  The latest entrant has gone inside the house to reveal Armaan & Tanya's relationship."

Viveik Mishra already spoke about Armaan’s relationship with Tanya Singh. On saturday (20 October, 2013) Armaan was seen denying Vivek's allegation that he was already engaged and is linked with Tanisha. Armaan looked quite bothered about the allegations and asked Viveik to stay away from his personal life.

Tanya is a divorcee and has a 8-10 years old son who, is staying with her parents in Dehli.  Currently she is not in Mumbai; she went to her parents place to celebrate her birthday which was on Friday, 18th Oct. All our efforts to reach her were in vain.

Actress Tanishaa Mukerji was spotted at the Mumbai International Airport flying out for Los Angeles for a vacation with her sister Kajol and family.  The actress is slated to head to London for the second schedule of her upcoming marathi film 'Adhantari'.

Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Chaitanya Padukone dedicates honour to RD Burman

Ace film journalist Chaitanya Padukone who was felicitated with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award, along with legendary awardees like Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar, has dedicated his award to music maestro RD Burman.

Prominent celeb guests at the event included Kajol, Raveena Tandon and Subhash Ghai. Filmmakers Ekta Kapoor and Rohit Shetty congratulated Chaitanya and agreed, he owed his honour to his ‘mentor-guru’ and music legend R.D. Burman, popularly known as Panchamda.

“Way back in mid-eighties, when my initial exclusive interviews with the reclusive RDB appeared in a leading city newspaper, Panchamda seemed impressed. On an impulse, he ‘blessed’ me, whilst predicting that someday in future I would achieve glory,” reminisces the journalist.

“Since I also had this passion for experimental rhythm, we shared a warm personal rapport.  Somewhere up there, I can visualize RDB reacting to my Phalke Award and humming one of his popular refrains ‘Yeh toh hona hi tha’,” smiles Chaitanya, who has been a prolific award-winner, also being listed in the Limca Book of National Records.

Earlier, the seasoned journalist who has a large number of  ‘breaking-news’ Bollywood stories to his credit, was honoured by superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who conferred on him the KA Abbas Memorial Award and Gold Medal.

Chaitanya’s other credits include carrying out first-exclusive interviews with actors like Vidya Balan, Ameesha Patel, Chunky Panday, Sangeeta Bijlani, Ayesha Jhulka, Manoj Bajpai, Mahima Chaudhary, Riteish Deshmukh, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone, when they were absolute newcomers in the industry.

Drunken Acts: New trend among B-Town Actress’s

Actors, Villains and Vamps drown their woes in alcohol, now its turn of Actress to do it..

Making a scene after getting drunk has been a frequent subject in many films over the last couple of years.  Dharmendra’s drunken act in Sholay is unforgettable, Amitabh Bachchan’s in Sharaabi and Amar Akbar Anthony is still remembered and Salman Khan’s in Saajan are legendary.

Aamir Khan left no stone unturned when he had to deliver a drunken scene under the influence of alcohol in ‘Rangeela’. He has never been in the habit of drinking,  but as he is perfectionist he actually consumed a liter of vodka before shooting for the song 'Tere Ishq Mein Nachenge' in 'Raja Hindustani'.

We cannot forget Shahrukh Khan brought realism in Devdas, he gulped down few drinks to make scene look as natural as possible. So as Rajesh Khanna’s act in ‘Amar Prem’, I still memorize 'Kuch To Log Kahenge’, his dialogue ‘Pushpa I hate tears' became his trademark after this film.

But have you ever seen Hema Malini or Rekha happily downing shots on screen? I guess its very rare, where as Helen or Bindu perhaps can because they portrayed as bad girl.

Bhartiya satisavitri naaris rarely got drunk in old films. Meena Kumari gracefully played a complete alcoholic woman in ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gulam’, remember ‘Na jaao saiyaan chuda ke baiyaan..’?

Kajol effectively executed a drunken stupor in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Zara Sa Jhoom Loo Main’ is a complete riot, where she begins to groove with her favorite co-star Shah Rukh Khan.

Now as baton was handed over from the actors to the actresses, we are seeing Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Mallika Sherawat and even Sonam Kapoor getting high on alcohol.

Mallika’s ‘Main talli ho gayi’ for ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’ is dedicated to her drunken avatar.

Deepika brought it back into craze when she happily swigged away with Saif Ali Khan in ‘Chor bazaari do nainon ki ‘in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and then with Imran Khan in ‘Break Ke Baad’.

For ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ Priyanka Chopra drank everything from beer to neat vodka.

These baby steps into the hitherto unexplored realm of drunk actress got on to a more firm footing in 2011 – when Kareena Kapoor shook her booty to ‘Criminal’ after downing vodka shots,  for ‘Rockstar’ newbie Nargis Fakhri got happily drunk and did ‘Katiya Karoon’.

Katrina Kaif drinks straight from the bottle in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan ‘and she has high on local liquor, she happily sings ‘Chikni Chameli…’ after chadake pauha.

Sonam drinks one tequila after another in ‘Players’.

Dirty gal Vidya Balan, got drank and smoked throughout the second half of ‘The Dirty Picture’.

I am not surprised with this sudden change in actress’s onscreen behavior. I guess it’s another instance of art reflecting real life or may be its just another way filmmakers have set up to bring in the female audiences to the theaters.

DDLJ reloaded...

I was reading someone’s’ blog where I find a funny ending of blockbuster movie  DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge). I hope Soap Queen Ekta Kapoor get inspired by reading this and make a long running Daily Soap based on this.

Simran: ‘nahi Raj nahi, mujhe chhodd kar mat jaao.’

Raj: ‘simran, kya hua jo me tumhe itna chahta hoon, tumhare Baooji itne khoosat hain k unki moti buddhi me kuch ghus hi nahi rha hai.’

Simran: ‘nahi raj nahi, me tumhare bina nahi jee sakti.’

Raj: ‘simran, me jaanta hoon k tumhare alaawa mujhe koi aur nahi dikhta par agar Baooji yahi chahte hain to yahi sahi.’

Baooji: ‘chala ja iss ghar se abhi issi waqt.’

Raj: ‘Baooji, me to aapka dil jeetne aaya tha par ab me kya karu, khaali haath nahi ja sakta na, simran ki chhoti behan hi de dijiye.’

Baooji: ‘dekha laajo, kaisa kameena ladka pasand kiya hai teri beti ne.’

Laajo: ‘hatto ji, aap bhi mera haath aisa hi maang kar laaye the. Meri badi behan ne to mana kar diya tha na aapke liye.’

Baooji: ‘arre haan, ye to me bhool hi gaya tha. Wah raj beta, tum to bilkul mujh par hi gaye ho.’

Raj: ‘Haan Baooji, me aap hi ka beta hoon.’

Baooji: ‘ye kya bakwaas hai ?’

Raj’s mom shabbo enters.

Laajo says: ‘ari shabbo, tu to mar chuki thi na ?’

Shabbo: ‘nahi wo to maine naatak kiya tha. Me to tere London waale doosre bunglow me reh rhi thi aur tere inko to pata bhi nahi laga.’

Laajo: ‘Raj beta, tab to ye shaadi bilkul nahi ho sakti kyuki Simran tumhari behan ho gayi hai.’

Baooji: ‘ laajo, ab jab itna sab kuch ho hi gaya hai to me ye bata doon k simran tumhari beti nahi hai.’

Laajo: ‘ab ye kya nautanki hai??’

Baooji: ‘haan laajo, tujhe ek beta hua tha lekin wo dimaagi roop se paagal lag rha tha isiliye maine paas waale bed se ek beti utha kar tere bed par rkh di aur tera beta utha kar uske bed me rkh diya.’

Simran faints.

Laajo: ‘to fir mera asli beta kaha hai abhi ??’

Baooji: ‘tera beta Rohit mar chukka hai. Uska beta krrish ban gaya hai.’

Laajo: ‘sweet. KOI MIL GAYA’

Raj: ‘to fir baat pakki Baooji??’

Baooji: ‘haan beta, sab pakka.’

Raj’s father enters. He discovers that raj is not his son. He never had a son. He had a daughter, Simran. His wife bought Raj from shabbo in place of his mad son rohit and shabbo sent rohit to play school and never returned to him.

Simran wakes up and faints again.

Baooji says: ‘ bade bade shehro me chhoti chhoti baatein to hoti hi rhti hain.’

Happy ending as usual…
