From A Fan's Diary: Harshiti bonding was mesmerizing in 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil'
“KIS DESH ME HAI MERAA DIL”, is the ultimate show that ruled viewers’ hearts around the globe for one and half year successfully but that wasn't the end. Still people madly love the show because the way it was presented by telly soaps Queen Ekta Kapoor was different from her other shows. You would ask me what that was. Let me tell you...
The heart touching back ground music "Ohh Rabba!.." was itself enough to create that magic in the air at first, then the theme song "Hum hai iss pal yahan.." was an icing on top. When it used to play on lead actors Harshad Chopra and Additi Gupta, they made us feel that the song was only made for them. After that many other shows also used this particular song on their shows but it remained as a song without soul. In ‘Kis Desh..’ our beloved Harshad-Additi added soul and made viewers feel every word of it with their UN-definable magic of togetherness..
Harshad (Prem)-Additi(Heer) are fondly remembered as Premeer and Harshiti. The two actors did full justice to every scene. When they used to be together; sabka dil garden garden hota tha. They talked and delivered dialogues through their eyes. When their eyes used to meet I used to feel some unknown pleasure within my heart. When they used to do nok-jhok on their interviews, I used to feel how two people can look so amazing together.
They were at the best stage while doing Kis Desh. They were no doubt magical together in it, but as individual also they have proved how brilliantly they can act.
Remember Prem death scene? The way Additi acted to show Heer's condition, the way she cried, the way she showed her facial expressions on-screen was worth an ovation.
The scene when Prem doubts Heer, and creates a mess in restaurant was too good. You can’t miss her expression at that time, her pain when her love is insulting her in front of all. That was truly commendable. Must see this scene on Youtube...I can’t explain in words...
Harshad Chopda, is no less. He is way above amazing. The way he acted while standing with Heer in front of his family, the way he showed anger of Prem when next lady is beating his lady love Heer in front of him, the way he delivered his dialogues..Aah! I’m sure everyone was clapping hands by sitting in front of their Television sets.
Not only Prem-Heer chemistry, there were so many other relationships in the show which were portrayed beautifully.
Prem’s relation with her mom, it was most touching relation of mother-son portrayed by both. Despite she was Prem’s step mother, the love and trust they had wasn’t seen before on Indian television.
The siblings love between Prem, Preet and Harman was shown in a beautiful way. The bonding they shared was mesmerizing. They always supported each other at every step. The whole world cried when Preet sacrificed his life for Prem.
One more relation which was so pure was Heer- Meher’s love and bonding. Normally in every serial you will see sisters falling for same guy and you will see them fighting and plotting against each other. But Kis Desh was the only show in which not at any stage Heer and Meher fought with each other. They were a support system to each other throughout the show.
Bauji was the funniest father who always supported his children.
Daljit Chachi’s character was negative, was strongly shown and executed.
Ashlesha, was another strong character and got mixed sort of response, at one time viewers loved her, had sympathy and next hated.
Ahh!..I am turning Nostalgic...missing our Kis Desh, our Harshiti.. har pal har minute..everytime. I really don’t know why we love them so much. I cannot express my feelings in words.
Love you Harshad and Additi from core of my heart. I will always remain loyal to my Harshiti in every circumstance...

I will never ever write an autobiography : Additi Gupta
Cute and bubbly Additi Gupta had become a household name by essaying the lead character of Heer in the popular soap 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil'. The actress is currently as Nandini in Zee TV’s ‘Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan’.
When we asked her would she ever write autobiography she laughed and said, “NO WAYS!! I will never ever write autobiography or allow anybody to write my biography.”
According to Additi her life has no interesting twist and turns which would make an autobiography appealing. “There is no masala in my life; it’s quite simple. Readers will get bored after reading my autobiography. I personally don't feel there is anything worth writing about my life,” said Additi.
We agree Additi till now your life is simple, sober and not interesting enough to pen down in a biography or autobiography. But you never know the future might add some spice in your life. Well you have to agree that you are truly an inspiration to many..

TELLY DIVA: Affable, beautiful, sweet and stylish Krystle D’Souza
[Article for one of the Fashion Magazine]
She is currently essaying the role of Jeevika in Cinevistaas’ Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hain on Star Plus. Counted among the most stylish television Bahus she is proudly ruling the hearts of tons of Bachelors. She talked in an elegant demeanor when Perfect Woman’s correspondent K Himaanshu Shukla called her...
She always wanted to be an Air-Hostess but destiny was planning something else for her. She started her acting career with Balaji Telefilms’ Kahe Naa Kahe. “I wanted to be in a profession which had nothing to do with studies; the profession where I could groom myself. I always wanted to work somewhere I could just dress up lavishly, do make up and look beautiful. Thus I thought of being an Air-Hostess since childhood. Also many of my cousins and aunts have been into this profession so I always dreamt of being an air hostess only.”
“Once I was wandering randomly in my college campus; suddenly one guy approached me for the audition for Balaji Telefilms’ new show. I still remember the experience like a fresh incident. I auditioned in a vanity van and luckily I got selected for their upcoming show ‘Kahe Na Kahe’. I found myself fortunate enough to debut with Balaji’s show. Ekta is a magnificent individual and Balaji is like a second home to me. There has been no looking back after ‘Kahe Na Kahe’.”
Kahe Naa Kahe used to air on 9x channel and Krystle essayed the role of Kinjal. After that, she did many shows such as Kyaa Dill Mein Hain, Aahat, Kasturi, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. She took a break after Baat Hamari Pakki Hai and went to Canada. Her parents stay there, so she decided to take a break from acting and spend some quality time with them. When she returned back she bagged the plum role of “Jeevika” in Cinevistaas’ show ‘Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hain’.
Talking about her current onscreen character Jeevika, she said, “Jeevika is an out and out a highly positive and simple Indian girl who loves her sister deeply from her heart. She has been a mother to her sister so she can go to any extent to save her baby sister Maanvi, who is currently suffering from Cancer.”
Krystle is quite similar to her onscreen character Jeevika. Just like Jeevika, she is caring and loving. Both are highly imbibed with high principles and good values and have deference for their family. Jeevika is shy whereas Krystle is extrovert. Jeevika is quite when it comes to decision making while Krystle takes a stand for her thoughts and expresses her feelings wide openly.
Talking about the future plans, she said, “I am doing a daily soap and right now my focus is entirely on it. Off course I also want to act in Bollywood and I will surely do films when I get good opportunity, but right now I am concentrating only on Television. I think it’s the best medium to connect with the masses. I will never leave television for Bollywood afterall television gave me the identity which I am enjoying today. My preference is television and it will be forever.”
Rapid Fire with Krystle...
Krystle’s dream role...
For me there is nothing as such which I would want to call as dream role. I started with a positive role, did a grey scale role (in Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil), did a haunted role (in Aahat) and a glamorous role (in Baat Humari Pakki Hai) so you see I have done a variety of roles. There is no genre of roles that I have not tried. I think ‘Jeevika’ is my dream role because it has brought me immense exposure.
Krystle’s dream actor to work with…
I go weak on my knees when I see Hrithik Roshan on screen. Ranbir Kapoor is my crush, my love. I want to work with them.
Krystle’s fitness mantra…
Maintaining your body is a lot of hard work, especially for working professionals like me. I shoot round the clock so I don’t really get the time to go to the gym. I do cardio exercises to lose fat and practice yoga every day. I also do Vajraasana for 20 minutes after every meal. To stay fit one should not starve and eat at regular intervals in small amounts.
Krystle’s beauty mantra…
Smile smile and smile. It makes u beautiful. Since they say it’s contagious it will make a lot of people around you beautiful too. The person dressed up poorly and without any makeup but is smiling would appear more beautiful to me rather than a person dressed up lavishly but is not smiling. Other than smile being natural is the most important beauty mantra. A nice shade of gloss, mascarra and my smile and I am all beautiful.
Krystle’s fashion funda…
Fashion to me is clothes that look good, fit well, suit your body type and are very comfortable. I pick my clothes after putting lots of interest in it and I invest a lot of money also in my clothes.
When Krystle is free she loves to…
Earlier when I used to be free I loved to dance, paint and sing but since now I hardly get time to be called as free; as soon as I am free I either run to a spa for self relaxation or I go shopping. During free time on sets I try covering up my sleeps.
The real Krystle is...
The real Krystle is an ordinary girl who had a very cheerful and pampered yet normal childhood, a bubbly teenage and a hard working adulthood. Though I am a princess but still I dream of living the life of an actual royal princess.
Krystle's message for our female readers...
Don't ever think that you are weak. Now women walk matching shoulder to shoulder with men, so why to feel weak. We women are strong enough to live successfully. I think women can become perfect if she owns a kind soul. Love yourself and enjoy life to the fullest.

Additi Gupta and Rizwan Bachav are dating?
Sweet and charming Additi Gupta shot to fame with her very first show ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ and was last seen in Life OK’s ‘Zindagi Kahe Smile Please’. The actress is glowing these days and has reason to smile because she has found love in real life. But she has locked her lips and didn’t want to confront ‘Iss Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’.
According to a little birdie, Additi is dating Rizwan Bachav for quite some time. They even went to Hong Kong to celebrate their birthdays, as their birthdays fall one day after the other.
Remember Rizwan, he is the same guy who was earlier linked up with soap queen Ekta Kapoor.
Apparently Additi was earlier linked to her Kis Desh... co-star Harshad Chopra. The duo later denied the buzz.
Bachav’s profile on one of the professional networking site says he was earlier associated with Lehman brother and Nomura as Senior Analyst and Associate respectively. He is doing modeling these days.
All our efforts to reach Rizwan went in vain, we got in touch with Additi but she asked us to call later.

'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' 4th Anniversary special..show ended but is still fresh in everyone's memories!!
‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ (3rd March, 2008 to 5th February, 2010) was a beautiful romantic story with touchy screenplay, marvelous performance and amazing cinematography. Harshad Chopra and Additi Gupta’s chemistry created waves onscreen and added icing on the cake.
Ekta Kapoor..how can I forgot to mention her name here, she was captain of the ship..Hats Off to her!!
Show ended....years passed, but Prem-Heer are still alive in the hearts of fans. According to them Harshiti(name given by fans to their beloved Harshad and Additi’s jodi) is immortal and will always stay alive in audiences' hearts.
3rd March is not just a date for the fans of ‘Kis Desh..’, for them it’s a day to rejoice, as it marks the anniversary of their favorite show. Before this special occasion, I caught up with Heer(Additi Gupta) and Prem(Harshad Chopra) and here are they sharing their sweetest of memories again.
HARSHAD CHOPRA is one of the most popular face in Telly world and has immense popularity amongst the females. Chocolate faced actor is all set to return to the fascinating world of glamour and glitz with “Dil Se Di Dua Saubhagyavati Bhava”.

Kisdesians almost forced me to take your interview on 4th Anniversary of the show. They are all set to rejoice that special day in their own way.
Harshad: I was not surprised, when you told me about fans are planning to celebrate 4th Anniversary of ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’. As a artist it’s the biggest achievement for me that people still appreciate and remember my character. I don’t have words to explain my feelings.
Do you remember the episode in which Prem’s entry was aired?
Harshad: Off course I do remember, how I can forget the date. I always remember the dates on which my entry is aired. Prem entered on 12th March, I also remember the year(laughs).
Are you and Additi at loggerheads?
Harshad: There's no truth in that rumor at all. It’s all rubbish. We are good friends.
Then why you are not giving joint interviews with Additi?
Harshad: Why will I have any problem? Why would I say no for joint interview with Additi? Why would I destroy what I earned in years with my own hands? You will surely get it, whenever time permits. While she was free I was busy with Dharampatni, and when now I am free and she is shooting round the clock for her show.
I am sure Harshiti(Harshad-Additi) fans will go weak in the knees, when they see you back together. Agree?
Harshad: Indeed, Additi and Harshad coming together is a rare event, I want to cherish that moment and desperately craving for it.
The ravishing and adorable ADDITI GUPTA is currently doing ‘Zindagi Kahey-Smile Please’. You can’t help but smile when you meet her, she always has a blush to her cheeks, carries a charming smile and has a jovial voice.

Guess why 3rd March is special?
Additi: I know I know..it was the day when my first show ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’, went on air.
Kisdesians almost forced me to take your interview on 4th Anniversary of the show. They are all set to rejoice that special day in their own way.
Additi: Awww...so sweet of them. They will always be precious to me. I know that they will for sure celebrate this occasion. It’s a sweetest gesture from our fans. The show went off-air but there's still a lot of love for us is floating in the air.
Do you remember your entry sequence?
Additi: OMG it was the weirdest entry ever. I shot my first scene with Virendra Saxena sir and Gary sir was directing it. My dialogue was ‘Babuji Lassi’. It was my first shot; I thought it’s very easy to act. I was little bit afraid because I didn’t know anything about acting. Acting ka ‘A’ bhi nahi pata tha.”
Go ahead..
Additi: I smiled and said ‘babuji lassi’, After that I had taken a deep breath and thought my job is done. Later I came to know that every scene is picturised from different angles. ‘babuji lassi..babuji lassi..babuji lassi’ I don’t even remember how many times I said these two words.
For you ‘Kis Desh..’ is?
Additi: It’s a part of my life which I don’t want to forget. It was the time which will stay in inverted comma’s throughout my life.
Are you and Harshad at loggerheads?
Additi: It’s better to remain silent, so no comments. Next question please.
Joint interview with Harshad is possible or not?
Additi: I know fans are demanding and spamming here and there for joint interview. I just want to say I am always approachable for separate interview. Joint interview is a bit tough. I am really sorry if I disappoint my fans, I hope I can make them understand.
