Gurmeet Choudhary approached for Gunahon ka Devta-2?

Remember Gunahon Ka Devta, the show which was based on a novel by ‘Dharanvir Bharati’, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms and aired on Imagine TV in 2010?

The show is all set to come with another season, but this time it will be produced by Ashwini Dheer. The revised version will be launched on Life OK.

In previous season featured Ashish Sharma and Tanvi Bhatia were in lead roles. We heard for this season, dashing hunk of small screen Gurmeet Choudhary was approached to play approached to play the male protagonist. The channel and producer are keen on casting him, but the deal is stuck on monetary issues.

On the other hand, sources close to Gurmeet said, “Gurmeet and Debina are doing next season of Nach Baliye. He was offered a role in Gunahon Ka Devta, but he not yet given the nod due to date issues.”

Gurmeet remained unavailable for comment.

Rubina & Karan V Grover to unfold 'Punar Vivah' new chapter

"Punar Vivah" will unfold a new chapter with fresh star cast under a new title " Punar Vivah... Ek Nayi Umeed". But one thing that will be constant is the issue of remarriage.

With the story of protagonists Yash ( Gurmeet Choudhary) and Aarti ( Kratika Sengar) and their remarriage coming to an end, the new story will see Rubina Dilaik, Karan V. Grover and Srishty Rode in the lead roles.

The new story is about a popular TV actress Divya (Rubina), who puts aside her love life in her quest to build a career. Karan will play Raj, a disillusioned young man, who ends up marrying Sarita, played by Srishty, chosen by his family, after losing his first love.

Karan, who has seen 'Punar Vivah' in his family, said: "I will try to give the best and make the character relatable. I was happily surprised to get the opportunity, I like experimenting, so I accepted it."

Seen in serials like "Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli", Karan is currently part of the comedy show "Hum Hain Aapke In Laws" that comes on SAB TV.

Rubina, who played the lead in " Choti Bahu", said "Punar Vivah is a second chance to live life" and every individual has "a right" to get that second chance.

Talking about the show, she added: "Great responsibility on us to live up to the expectations of the audience. The show will project the real life love story of an actress, which I guess everyone wants to know about."

The new chapter will also see Srishty, last seen on the small screen as the grown up Shobha in " Shobha Somnath Ki".

"I am looking forward to play Sarita as it would show a different side of me as an actress... Sarita is not a typical kind of 'bahu'. She is very strong-minded."

The new chapter of "Punar Vivah...Ek Nayi Umeed" will start May 20 on Zee TV.

Sara Khan and Angad Hasija to come back together in next instalment of Punar Vivah?

Sara Khan and Angad Hasija are still fondly remembered as Sadna and Alekh of Bidaai. The duo was last seen together in ‘Preet Se Bandhi Yeh Dori... Ram Milaayi Jodi’ is all set to come back together.

According to our sources, “Shashi-Sumeet Mittal’s show Punar Vivah will soon go off air and casting for the next instalment of the show is already is in full swing. The channel started working on the new story with new leads. The new story will have nothing to do with the current story of the show featuring Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar. The channel had approached Sara Khan and Angad Hasija to play the leads. Angad has already given green signal. If all goes well, Sara-Angad will be back together in a brand new avatar."

We tried to contact Sara and Angad, but they remained unavailable to comment.

Akshay Dogra to enter in Punar Vivaah!

Akshay Dogra, who was last seen in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' is all set to enter Zee TV's 'Punar Vivah'.

According to our sources, “Akshay will be introduced as parallel lead opposite to Gurmeet Choudhary. He is playing the role of a driver, later the truth about his real identity will be revealed. We heard he is illicit son of Suraj Pratap Scindia.”

When contacted Akshay confirmed the news.
The actor has already started shooting for the show and his entry might be aired in a day or two.

Boiled food keeps Gurmeet fit

New Delhi, Oct 1 (IANS) Television actor Gurmeet Choudhary, known for his fitness and six-pack abs, says it is boiled food that helps him keep fit.

"Me and my wife Debina eat boiled food at home not only because we want to be slim, but we like eating it. I don't like oily and fried foods. As far as my workout regime is concerned, I go for running and hit the gym everyday," Gurmeet told IANS.

The 28-year-old became a hit on small screen after doing "Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi". Currently he is seen in Zee TV's show "Punar Vivah".

He has also won the fifth season of celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".

Gurmeet Choudhary cleared KJO's confusion over twitter!!

Sexy and Smart Gurmeet Choudhary has a body to die for. Women go weak on their knees the moment they see him. The actor, who is currently playing Yash Schindia in Zee TV’s Punar Vivaah is spreading his wings and shaking his legs in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

In the morning twitteractive Gurmeet tweeted; “@kjohar25 hi karan sir.this is d real me. Sorry for d confusions. Gurmeet choudhary.”

To find out what really happened and why Gurmeet was clearing the air of confusion on twitter, we checked KJo’s twitter profile. We found out that king of candy floss emotions, Karan Johar is following fake Gurmeet.

We tried getting in touch with Gurmeet but he remained unavailable until the time of filing the article.

When contacted Debina Bonnerjee said, “There are so many fake accounts of Gurru, which create confusions often. Original twitter handle of Gurmeet is @gurruchoudhary.”

Beware of fakes Karan!..

Whatever work I do, I put my 100% and try to perform my best : Gurmeet Choudhary

Colors’ much awaited dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ is all set to excite its viewers. 13 contestants will be performing in front of dhak-dhak gal Madhuri Dixit, king of candy floss emotions Karan Johar and choreographer turned director Remo Dsouza.

We caught up with immensely talented actor Gurmeet Choudhary, who gained gigantic popularity all across the globe and became a household name after portraying Ram. His performance as Maan Singh Khurana in ‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayi’ is still fresh in the minds of viewers. He is getting applauds for his mesmerising performance in ‘Punar Vivaah’.

Speaking to Scrutiny on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Press Conference, Gurmeet admitted candidly that he struggles while dancing, he assured that he will put his 100% in dancing to make the his performance different and effective.

Which is your favorite dance form?
Gurmeet: Freestyle.

Karan, Madhuri or Remo, whom do you want to impress?
Gurmeet: All the judges very well know about dancing. Ek dancer hai, ek director hai aur ek khud choreographer hai. I want to impress not only all the judges but all my fans and viewers of Jhalak.

Who according to you is the toughest judge?
Gurmeet: Has to be Remo (laughs). He has a keen eye for the minutest of details, so I am little bit scared.

Will it be more for Karan Johar as you are planning to get into Bollywood?
Gurmeet: Obviously I will try to give my best in front of him. I will not compromise in any situation while I am performing. As I already told I want to impress all the judges and concentrate on my dancing.

How will you rate yourself as dancer, we realized you were little bit struggling while performing on stage?
Gurmeet: I agree with you that I was struggling while dancing, because I am not trained dancer. I told my choreographer Shampa that I am like Geeli Meethi, you can mould me into whatever form you like to. I need to practice a lot with full dedication.

What’s your strength as a dancer?
Gurmeet: I think I dance with my full energy. Ask Shampa I guess she very well know my weakness and strengths.

What’s your view on this? How is he as a dancer?
Shampa:His strength is his outlook towards dance. Actually the best quality about Gurmeet is that he is very enthusiastic about dancing and is very hard working. I think this is the most important quality of a dancer or a student of dance.

How is your experience working with Gurmeet till date?
Shampa: He is very determined and very open. It’s very nice to work with him.

What about your experience working with Shampa?

Gurmeet: She is a wonderful dancer, a very humble and sweet human being. She is my dance guru, my teacher, like a good student I follow her instructions. I am lucky to get such a fantastic dance partner.

Who is your biggest critic?
Gurmeet(laughs): Debina. She is my biggest critic. Choti se choti mistakes nikalti hai.

Has she ever visited your set when you were practicing with Shampa?
Gurmeet: Yes she visited Jhalak the sets while we are rehearsing. And you know what, two teams were created in which Shampa and Debina were on same side and I was left alone on other side.

You have immense fan following. Do you think if you don’t dance still you will get votes?
Gurmeet: If honestly I tell you, whatever work I do, I put my 100% in it and try to perform my best. When people see my performances in award functions, they think I don’t need any dance training. I will tell you the reason behind it. Subah, shyaam, sote jaagte, shoot ke free time mein, washroom mein, I record my performances and try to find out my weaknessess.I think this helps me a lot in delivering my best.

I actually want to go to the prison for Chakki Peesing : Gurmeet Choudhary

Girls go gaga over him, get weak on their knees and almost stop breathing when they see him onscreen. He has tons and tons of fan following. But as his career goes from strength to strength, he does not allow the success to get into his head.

Gurmeet Choudhary who is currently seen as Yash Scindia in Zee TV’s Punar Vivaah takes up rapid fire...

If given a chance which actress would you like to cast opposite to you?
Rani Mukherjee, I think she looks really pretty.

One movie you can watch over and over again?
Titanic, because it’s amazing.

Have you seen Titanic 3D yet?
Not yet, but I am planning to watch it today.

One thing on television you want to change?
I wish I could turn back time and bring back the golden era on television when the shows were weekly with a solid story line.

One old serial in which you want to act?
Fauji, I desperately want to play fauji. I come from army background. My dad was in army, my grandfather was freedom fighter and I was born in army hospital.

So if Gurmeet was not an actor he must be in army. Right?
Haa shayaad NCC mein hota.

One thing you value the most.
My mom-dad, my wife Debina. My family is very precious to me

One word to describe yourself.
Simple guy, I gel with people very easily.

This as one of the positive trait of our personality.
Yes, when people meet me for the first time, they often become comfortable with me.

One thing you always do when you get up in the morning.
I like to have a cup of green tea every morning.

And what about the one thing you always do before going to bed.
I close my eyes before I go to sleep and do a self analysis. I try to find out what all good-bad things I did today and area of improvements.

One thing you want to change about yourself.
Whenever I find something wrong in myself I correct it immediately.

If you are jailed...(he interrupted before I completed the sentence)
I actually want to go to the prison (laughs)

You are the first person who wanted to go to prison. What makes you curious?
Mujhe Jail Mein Chakki Peesne Jaana Hai...From my childhood I get excited whenever I hear about jail.

Let’s come to previous question. If you are jailed, who would be the first person you call for bail?
Debina, I want to show her my haalat while chakki peesing. Or maybe I will call my friend for a bail because my family or Debina might feel bad when they see me inside lockup.

Whom would you like to share lock up room with and help you in Chakki Peesing?
I am a diehard fan of Amitabh Bachchan sir, so I want him to be with me in lockup. I hope he won’t mind.

A recent dream that you remember..
Maine suna hai dreams share karne se sach nahi hote..

But still you might have any dream which you can share with us.
I was practicing for a dance sequence in my last dream.

The one product for which you think you will never be approached to endorse?
I neither drink nor smoke so I will never ever endorse them.

What if they give you muh maangi rakam?
Haha money doesn’t matter if I am not satisfied with what I am doing.

Punar Vivaah-Zindagi Milegi Dubara: Review

Male lead Yash Scindia (Gurmeet Choudhary) is a widower, walls in his room are lined with his dead wife’s framed photographs. He moves across the room after talking to one of the photo, then he talks to another photo then moves again and talks to a third photo. He expresses his thoughts to the viewers, I am confused and my mind is almost fused why he has to keep moving while expressing his feelings? I think this type of idiotic questions popped in viewer’s heads while watching Zee TV’s new drama, Punar Vivaah…aah..

Yash is the middle son of the well-heeled Scindia family, his wife died 3 years before the story commence and left him with two toddler girls. Yash doesn’t want to get married again, though he agreed that his toddlers need a mother.

He is said to be more domestic, snobbish and reserved man who is still bearing the pain of his wife’s death. But audiences are yet to catch even one expression of Yash’s to support this claim.

Female lead Aarti (Kratika Sengar), is a mother of a young boy lives with her in-laws. Story mein twist..her husband has divorced her, moved out of the house and Aarti is still living with her in-laws..hui hui hui hui..

Shobha, aarti’s mother-in-law loves her like her own daughter and wants Aarti to marry again.

Aarti comes across as being an arrogant and proud lady, who is supposedly a fine-looking, proficient, skilled and a kind hearted woman. She can’t even say ‘THANK YOU’ to a man for helping her.

Yash’s mother talks to Shobha about the remarriage and makes it very clear that they are against divorcees and don’t mind a widow for their son. Shobha, who continually said that she will never hide the fact that Aarti is a divorcee with a child, listens to her husband and doesn’t reveal the truth. Later Shobha lets Mrs Scindia get the inkling that Aarti is a widow.

Gurmeet was last seen in ‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayi’ and his onscreen chemistry with Drashti Dhami was amazing, fans go weak at the knees while they enact together. Will the new onscreen couple Gurmeet-Kratika create 1% of ‘Gurti’ magic again? I don’t think so…let’s wait and watch.

Punar Vivaah-Zindagi Milegi Dubara, asks the query can a marriage survive when it is founded on a lie?
Producer ji I have just one question, Can you build a fan base on the foundation of such insensitive characters?

Few more name added in Punar Vivaah!..

As reported earlier Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar are shortlisted to play the leads in Punar Vivaah.

According to the latest buzz, Leena Jumani, Dishank Arora (Kismat fame), Chetan Pandit( Maykee Se Bandi...Dor fame) Rakesh Kukreti and Samragyi Nema (Santaan fame) will also be part of ‘Punar Vivaah’.

Dishank Arora will play Gurmeet’s younger brother. Leena will play Paridi, who is a Radio Jockey. She is Dishank's girlfriend, who then got married.

Samragyi will play a busy working lady and Rakesh would play her husband. Samrayi is carrer oriented lady who has no time for family life.

Season two of ‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayi’ would be over stretching like a chewing gum: Gurmeet Choudhary

Handsome, charming, heartthrob of millions of gals Gurmeet Choudhary is undoubtedly one among the successful TV actors. He gracefully portrayed Ram in Sagar Arts ‘Ramayan’. Later he was seen as a macho man Maan in 'Geet Hui Sabse Parayi'. Be it Drashti Dhami or Debina Bonnerjee, his chemistry with both of them set fires on screen.

In an exclusive interview with Scrutiny, he speaks about Geet-2, his upcoming movie and show:

How is your life after Geet Hui Sabse Parayi?
When I was doing Geet, we used to shoot round the clock so I didn’t get time for myself. I became a free bird after Geet, slept a lot and enjoyed the food. I got pretty more time for the gym and for my near and dear ones. Now I’m back on my toes with a new show.

What was the reason for you to take up 'Punar Vivaah'?
Like I have done Ramayan and then Geet, both the characters are different. I wanted to take the character that should be as good as or even better than them. I selected ‘Punar Vivaah’ because it is diverse as a whole, Yash’s character is challenging and exciting and also something that I had not done before. I believe there is no point repeating oneself.

Are you open to do another show with Drashti?
Not really. I think the magic of Maan and Geet should remain as it is and not spoil with any different character. I want to concentrate on my new show. But I can just give it a thought if a good script comes my way.

‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayi’ was getting good ratings and it ended abruptly before time.
I believe that all good things have to come to an end. I don’t think the show ended before time. Two year is good enough time span for Geet to finish its story.

Is Geet Hui Sabse Parayi-2 in pipe line?
No, Geet-2 would be over stretching like a chewing gum.

Fans are demanding to cast you opposite Drashti. Don't you think if you come again with Drashti, then your hit jodi will be a type cast?
I am happy because fans still love the onscreen chemistry between Geet and Maan. I want to explore myself as an actor by adorning different characters. Repeating the jodi only brings back the previous character in mind, which is not healthy for the next project. The pairing and character sketch should be fresh.

If given an opportunity to cast an actress for yourself besides Drashti and Debina who would it be? Who will be your first choice?
Since I don’t know anyone I can't name any.

You have affection for camera, so are you intend to pursue direction or open your own production house later in life?
I want to, but I don’t think it’s the right time now.

Tell us a bit about your Punjabi movie 'Yaar Mera Rab Warga'?
You need to see my Punjabi film to enjoy it. It’s my first movie and my first stint on big screen. The character is very interesting; I am playing an NRI singer. Rest is for you to see. I can't reveal anything much right now, but it's surely something to look forward to.

Any future plan if not acting?
Right from my childhood days I would say standing up in my school that I want to become an actor. I don’t know what would I have been if not an actor. So I want to continue acting only in the future.

Any message for GurTi(Gurmeet+Drashti) fans, they are dying to see you back in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi-2?
People who have seen me as Ram in Ramayan have followed me in Geet... They liked and loved Maan Singh Khurana. I would expect my fans to see and keep enjoying my work. I would never ever disappoint my fans and will always try to entertain them with a variety of work.

Geet-2 is not in making. I personally believe that I should work on distinguish variety of characters and explore my horizon as an actor. History cannot repeat itself.

Go on..
I and Debina made history by doing Ramayan. Then Drashti and my onscreen chemistry was adored by the viewers which made Maan and Geet earn so much name and fame. Many people started connecting with our characters in Geet. Fans still feel associated with the show and that's so unique. Now let me see what I do with the next show that I am coming up with. Not many days are left for 'Punar Vivaah' to come on air, I hope audience will like my role and appreciate chemistry with Kratika Sengar. Guys wish me loads of luck and love and do watch it.

Gurmeet and Kratika roped for 'Punar Vivaah'

Gurmeet Choudhary emerged as the No.1 actor in Tellywood after his successful stint as Ram and Maan Singh Khurana, in Ramayan and ‘Geet Hui Sabse Parayi’ respectively. He has an immense fan following mainly youngsters, no doubt he is heartthrob of millions of gals.

He is making a comeback after a short break with ‘Punar Vivaah’. The show will be produced under Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions.

Talented Kratika Sengar last seen in 'Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani..Jhansi Ki Rani' is shortlisted to play female protagonist.

Smita(Kratika) and SIddharth(Gurmeet) are married, but not to each other. Later they were forced to tie the knot and stay together under tough conditions. Gradually they fall in love.

Gurmeet Choudhary confirmed the news but refused to reveal the further details.

Kratika Sengar confirmed the news, "I am glad that I got opportunity to be part of Punar Vivaah. I did a power-packed role in Jhansi Ki Rani, after that I was dying to do romantic show. I fell in love with this script as soon as it was narrated to me."

Whereas on one hand, Gurmeet and Kratika fans have a reason to rejoice, on the other hand Geet fans are crying foul, because they want to see there Gurmeet & Drashti together again in any show.
