Art of Living program director Rishi Nityapragya left for heavenly abode



Rishi Nityapragya, director of programmes at The Art of Living Foundation, died on Monday in a private hospital in Vadodara from Covid-19 problems, according to his family.

Nityapragya, 58, has been in the hospital since December 13 after a positive Covid-19 test.

According to a family member, he was discharged from the hospital and returned home on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, however, he complained of shortness of breath and was transported to the hospital, where he died.

Nityapragya, a chemical engineer with a corporate background, was a close aide to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the spiritual guru and founder of the Art of Living.


In a statement, the Art of Living Foundation said, “He served the society selflessly for decades and inspired thousands through his soulful and devotional satsangs. His enthusiasm and charisma were unmatched and shall remain in our hearts and memory forever.
