Akshay Kumar's mother Aruna Bhatia passed away this morning. 

He was shooting for his upcoming film Mission Cinderella in UK and had to rush back home on Monday, after his mother, Aruna Bhatia fell ill.She was in the ICU at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital.

The 46-year-old author, said, what she really wants for Mother's day is a day off from responsibilities, to not be asked where is the blue t-shirt, if her kids can go to visit their friends and when the coronavirus lockdown is going to end.

The monologue, shared by Twinkle also features how she wants her kids to call her 'aunty' on mother's day and not 'mummy'.

Amidst widespread speculation that other superstars Shah Rukh Khan or Akshay Kumar may replace Salman Khan as the host of Bigg Boss Season 8 on Colors, recently Salman himself gave a statement to the media in Mumbai. “If I don’t host, then I think Shah Rukh Khan would be a good host,” he said during the launch of the song Devil for his upcoming film Kick.

But Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar, who has handled public relations for the maximum number of Bigg Boss contestants like Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Sherlyn Chopra, Pooja Misrra, Diana Hayden, Shamita Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Vindu Dara Singh, Zulfi Syed, Salil Ankola, Amar Upadhyay and Anita Advani, feels Salman Khan should return.

“I have a feeling Salman Khan should return as the host in BB8. His aura over Bigg Boss is inimitable. Few can manage to generate hype as easily as Salman Khan,” acknowledges the PR specialist. The publicist who has also handled the media for Shilpa Shetty during Big Brother is considered to be the best PR with controversies and hype.

“Bigg Boss is the greatest reality show Indian television has ever seen and Salman is a master with charm and a perfectionist with entertainment. The synergy has always created magic,” remarks Dale who is a seasoned hand with controversy, so much so that he was himself invited to participate in Bigg Boss 7 as a contestant, though he chose not to.

Apart from the Dabangg megastar, Bigg Boss has earlier seen celebrity hosts like Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt.

Akshay Kumar to host & judge Life OK's 'Dare To Dance'?

As we reported earlier, Life OK is coming up with a dance reality show. Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar approached to judge and host the show.

The stunt based dance reality show will be shot in South Africa. Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, Rithvik Dhanjani and Sanam Johar etc will be seen participating in the show.

For those uninitiated, Akshay hosted three seasons of the Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi on Colors'.

Rajesh Khanna Serious

Mumbai, July 18 - Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna, who was discharged from the hospital two days ago, is "serious", a family friend said.

"He is serious," the family friend of the 69-year-old, told IANS, adding that he was rushing to his place.

Rajesh Khanna, known as India's first superstar, is currently at his house Ashirwad in Bandra here.

He was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital July 14 following "weakness", and was discharged Monday. His family - estranged wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle and Rinke are by his side.

His actor son-in-law Akshay Kumar, Twinkle's husband, also rushed back from shooting abroad.

Last month, Khanna was admitted to the hospital and spent two weeks there before he was discharged.

The actor has been battling health issues since April l when he was admitted due to weakness and fatigue.

Fondly known as Kaka, Khanna, who featured in hits like "Aaradhana" and "Amar Prem" in the 1970s, was out of limelight for many years. He recently acted in an advertisement.

He married Dimple Kapadia in 1973. They separated in 1984.
