Actress Ankita Bhargava, who is currently seen in Ekk Nayi Pehchaan turned a year older today(17 August, 2014).

Talking about the Birthday plans, the pretty actress said, "My friend Roopal Tyagi is not keeping well, so yesterday night I went to meet her. There I cut my first cake. After that I came back home, where my parents organized a small family get together. Now I am on my way to shoot for a chat show for an international channel. In the evening I will go out for dinner with my family."

What is the one thing she religiously do on her birthday? She said, "Girls don't touch feet in our family, but I make it a point to take blessings from my parents as soon as the clock strikes 12. This is a ritual I perform every year."

Every year on her birthday, she make sure to visit Ahimsa, which is an NGO for stray dogs. "I always go there to donate Pedigree. This year as I am shooting for chat show, so probably I will visit the NGO tomorrow," Ankita shared.

Actress Shama Sikander brought in her birthday on Saturday (3rd August, 2013) at Esco Bar Bandra. Her birthday was yesterday on 4th August, 2013 which was co-incidentally friendship day as well.
She chose her favourite Red Velvet cake to cut and Alexx O Neil her boyfriend chose brownie with white chocolate for her.

I was jumping around and shouting it’s my birthday like a small child. Everything was just perfect, it couldn't have been better. Though I missed a few guests who couldn't make it because of Ramzan, and bad viral going on in the air”.

Pooja Pihal loves to visit temples on her Birthdays!

Pooja Pihal who was last seen in Sab TV’s ‘Hum Aapke Hain In Laws’ is celebrating her birthday today (04 June, 2013).

Last year she visited Shirdi to seek the blessings of Sai Baba. This year she went to various holy shrines in Mumbai. “Every year on my birthday I go to temples as I love the feel of temples. This year I went to Siddhivinayak, Maha laxmi, Mumbai Devi and Babulnath Temple. Now I am planning to spend the remaining day with my family and friends. Probably we will go out for a dinner in the evening."

Talking about the best birthday gift she nostalgically said, “My dad gifted me a table in my childhood. That was the best birthday gift I will ever forget.”

Why Jyotsna Chandola is not celebrating her Birthday?

Jyotsna Chandola, better known as Khushi of Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka, is celebrating her birthday today (15th April).  We got in touch with this beautiful actress to know about birthday plans.

“I was supposed to shoot today but fortunately got an off. Now I will be spending my birthday with my family. Since my childhood days only, I love to celebrate my birthday but this year I have decided not to rejoice because of certain reasons though I had cut a small cake,” shares Jyotsna.

When we requested her to tell us those certain reasons she said, “A few months back an innocent girl was brutally raped (she was talking about New Delhi gang rape). So many voices were raised at that time, so many protests, and so many marches.  But sadly stills rapes are happening and rapists are roaming freely. When I came to know about that incident I immediately decided I am not going to celebrate my birthday this year.”

She further added with heavy voice, “Girls are not safe and just because of such incidents sometimes I do not feel proud being a girl.”

We asked her instead of not celebrating her birthday she should do something about Women empowerment, to which she replied, “Yes I am planning to do something, but it’s too early to talk.”

Well it’s good to know that when most of the people from glamour world (who were more  concerned then) forgot the pain of the girl who was raped, one of the actors from the same industry is still in pain and has decided not to celebrate her Birthday.

Ram Kapoor celebrates birthday with female fans from all over the world!

He ranks highest amongst the most loved ones on Indian television. But last week, there came a moment in his life when the charmer was charmed!

Complementing his immense popularity, thirty female fans of television superstar Ram Kapoor landed in Mumbai from all over the world, especially to celebrate his birthday last week.

Obviously, the actor is on cloud nine! “It became a grand celebration and I simply loved the little creative gifts they personally made and brought for me. We partied all night! It was quite unreal but an awesome as well as humbling experience for me,” he beamed.

What’s more! Ram followed up this rollicking bash with another very special one for his family and friends. And now it’s just a few hours before he gets back to the grind of his shoots for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and the select movie roles he does in Bollywood! Way to go!

I don’t have any plans to celebrate my birthday as Kanan is not around: Chahatt Khanna

Beautiful and gracious Chahatt Khanna, who essays the role of Ayesha in Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ on Sony Entertainment Television, is celebrating her birthday today (17th July 2012).

We got in touch with her to learn about her birthday plans. Said she, “I don’t have any plans to celebrate my birthday this year as Kanan is not around. He is in London right now busy shooting for the ‘Rab Se Sona Isshq’. Right now I am shooting for ‘BALH’ with Riteish Deshmukh and Tushaar Kapoor. They are here to promote 'Kyaa Super Cool Hain Hum''.”

She continued, “I’ll celebrate my birthday on 24th September when Kanan comes back from UK, without him 17th July is like any other day.”

If a genie granted you three wishes on your birthday, what would you wish for?  When we asked this to love-bug-bitten Chahatt, she smiled and said, “I want to fly to London to meet Kanan, as I am missing him terribly. Second wish would be to take away all my negative thoughts and anger. I’m suffering from neck pain since a year now; I want to get rid of it. This would be my third wish.”

We wish Chahatt a very happy and joyful year ahead!..

Spiritual Birthday for Pooja Pihal!

Pooja Pihal, who captivated one and all with her grey shade character "Shravani" in Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, was last seen in Beend Banoongaa Ghodi Chadhunga. She has been out of TV sphere for a while now. The pretty lady is celebrating her birthday today.

On her birthday she visited Shirdi to seek the blessings of Sai. “I went to Shirdi first time and we really had a great darshan of Baba. Now I am on my way back to Mumbai.”

Talking about the birthday plans the petite actress said, “I was planning to go out with my family and friends. It’s raining heavily outside so nothing is decided how and where we will go to celebrate. Ab Baarish decide karegi kya hoga(laughs).”

“Each birthday is special and has a unique memory associated with it. From the last few years I was celebrating birthdays on set, this time I celebrated it by visiting Shirdi,” she added sharing about her memorable birthday till date.

Did she cut cake last night? “No I still haven't cut the cake. Actually I do not like cake cutting because cake khaate kam hai aur face par jayada lagaate hai, which I really don’t like.”
