I'm extremely disturbed with the end result of Humshakals: Bipasha Basu
Actress Bipasha Basu, who is a part of Sajid Khan's upcoming film Humshakals, is missing from the promotions. This was widely speculated. But now the gossip mongers can finally relax, because the Bong babe took to Twitter to clarify her stance.
“This is to put an end to all the discussions around my absence for Humshakals promotions. I take full responsibility of getting into a film only on the basis of trust. But after dubbing for my character in the film, as I had professionally committed to do so I`m extremely disturbed by the end result of the same. In these circumstances I didn`t know how to promote a film with all honesty and that`s why I thought it was better to stay away. I am confident that the film will be true to it`s genre and will be a full entertainer because of the people involved. I wish fox star studios who I have had my biggest hit with Raaz 3 and vashu ji who is a fantastic producer all the best. Wish all my co stars Saif, Riteish, Tamannah, Esha and the technicians best of luck. Sometimes, certain journeys cannot be completed and this is one of them - no one to be blamed, combination of things that made me disrupt my journey,” the actor wrote on her micro-blogging site.
Bips further tweeted that,"Movies are our life. They are made by efforts of lots of ppl!I can never be against a film!As an actor ur role can disappoint u at times."
Starring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor (in triple roles), southern sex siren Tamannaah, dusky Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta is scheduled to release this Friday (20 June, 2014).

I do want to lose some weight for my children and not for my career: Ram Kapoor
Ram Kapoor took a bold step when he decided to lock lips with co-star Sakshi Tanwar for a sequence in "Bade Achhe Lagte Hai" and surprised everyone. The actor is happy with his decision and says he will be known as a trendsetter.
Ram had already set a trend when he appeared in the romantic drama as the lead despite being overweight and with grey hair. In "Bade Achhe Lagte Hai", which runs on Sony, he is married to Priya, played by Sakshi.
Ram said, "I was very open to it. I am a trained actor and it's my job to justify it. The minute I was asked to do that, I was okay with it."
"I have tried to handle the scene in my own way. Before going ahead, I only asked myself, "If I was 40 plus and newly married, would not I kiss my wife?" I got my answer and I went ahead. I am happy that I will be known as the first actor to kiss on TV," added the actor.
In real life, Ram is 39 and is married to actress Gautami who is very supportive.
"My wife is very supportive and she understands that it's my job. But as far as I am concerned, I will do such scenes only if I am convinced about it," he explained.
His resent resolution is to shed extra pounds that he has gained.
"I will lose weight, but not for the industry. Amjad Khan was known as he was. The industry has accepted me the way I am and still I am getting some good roles regardless of my weight issues," said the actor.
"But I don't want to tell my fans it's good to be fat. I do want to lose some weight for my children and not for my career. And as I had always said, my wife is my first child," he added.
He is doing the daily soap and also hosting a cooking reality show and the two projects keeps him on his toes, but Ram is not complaining.
"I am not stressed, but it's hard work. I love my work and it's not stressful for me. Luckily, my family understands me and knows whatever I am doing, it is for them. But thrice a year I take them out," said Ram.
Apart from TV, Ram does films also and currently he is busy promoting Y-Films' "Mere Dad Ki Maruti", which is slated for a March 15 release.

‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ love scene was subtle, not vulgar: Jeetandra
Producer Ekta Kapoor’s father Jeetendra and brother Tusshar Kapoor defend the controversial kissing sceneYesteryear’s actor Jeetendra defends the intimate scene in Bade Achche Lagte Hain, which was termed too bold for small screen and raised eyebrows, saying the bedroom sequence picturised on Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar was not vulgar. “Actually, I really liked that romance. People might have considered it too much but I found it subtle. If a husband and a wife meet after six months, then it is bound to happen. But whatever happened was subtle. There was nothing vulgar in it. I found it alright,” the 69-year-old said at the Global Indian Film Television Honours. The show is being produced by Jeetendra’s daughter, Ekta Kapoor.
The episode was telecast March 12 and set tongues wagging about the sudden display of intimacy on Indian television. Ekta’s actor brother Tusshar Kapoor feels certain norms need to be broken on the small screen. “I don’t think people really like decent serials because people point fingers at decent serials as well. I think it is important to break certain norms; only then people will appreciate decency. Critics are never happy and whatever people like and appreciate is within limits,” said the 35-year-old.

Bade Dirty Lagte Hai
Ekta Kapoor, unquestionable soap queen again proved that she is rockstar and has ability to put television sets on fire. Last night viewers of ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hai’ were pretty surprised to see steamy scenes between protagonists Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar.
Der aaye durust aaye...finally they confessed their love for each other by officially having sex after (reel time) 6 months of marriage, more precisely (real time) 9 months 12 days and few hours.
The episode in which leads indulged in a liplock was aired last night at 10.30 pm on Sony TV. That 17 minutes love making sequence kept audiences glued to their television sets. The scene was pictured in decent way that it didn't look vulgar from any angle.
The bedroom act had Jodhaa Akbar’s song ‘In Lamhon Ke Daaman Mein’ as background score. Though in the promo, ‘Bahon Ke Darmiyan Do Pyaar Mil Rahe Hai’ is played in the backdrop.
Sakshi and Ram did it very well and the whole scene is executed very well. I am pretty sure few females suffered heart attacks after watching Ram in new sexy avatar, and must be saying ‘Bade Sexy Lagte Hai’. Ram ji’s expressions to hesitate and rephrase while making love was amazing and Tanwar no doubt did fantastic job.
Just one more day left, coming Wednesday will disclose the TRP’s. Let’s see whether sexual heat up raise 'Bade Acche Lagte Hain' numbers or not, last week the show has garnered a TRP rating of 2.9.Viewers, please make sure your kids sleep before you watching upcoming episodes of BALH as the daily soap is getting dirty...ooh laa laa..I must say Bade Bold Lagte Hai..Ram Kapoor..Priya Sharma...Aurrrrr...Aaj Kal Ke Daily Soapsssss..!!

It’s time for old actors to take control again: Mona Singh
She rose to fame as the desi Ugly Betty act in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, after which Mona Singh deliberately kept away from fiction shows. As she gears up to return to TV soaps with Ekta Kapoor’s Kya Hua Tera Vaada, she says this is the right time for old actors to come back and take control of the small screen.
“I have never planned anything in life; so this new show just happened. Yes, it was a deliberate decision not to take up a show immediately after Jassi… I was flooded with lots of offers, but I didn’t take up anything because I felt if I did anything immediately after that, I would be compared to that show,” Mona said.
Post-Jassi…, Mona switched to reality shows. “To break out of Jassi’s image, I had to get into reality TV. Now that people have known me as an anchor, as a participant and as an actor, now is the right time to come back to TV. It’s time for old actors to come back and take control,” added the actor. Lately, actors like Mohnish Behl, Sakshi Tanwar, Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy are getting to play key roles on the small screen, a long time after they established themselves with hit serials. Mona, who went on to win the first season of dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, also took to hosting reality shows like Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Star Ya Rockstar during her break from fiction content. She even made her way to the big screen with a small role in Rajkumar Hirani’s blockbuster 3 Idiots.
Now she is returning to fiction content on the tube after six years and feels with latest shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Indian telly is going back to basics. “TV has gone back to basics, relating to middle class family with real characters, less make-up and simple shots. I feel as an actor it is a delight to work in such shows,” said the 31-year-old.
“When I was doing Jassi…, there was also Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which was the top show. Both the shows were at par with each other. But Kyunki… was a very blingy show and Jassi.. was very simple, yet it did very well. After that I could not relate to TV because most of the shows were either village-based or were very rich in look. I couldn’t relate with women working in the kitchen wearing kanjeevaram saris, and sindoor falling out of the head,” she added.
In her upcoming show, which will go on air on Sony TV January 30, she will be seen as a sobre housewife. “The show talks about what happens to a couple after 10 years of marriage. It’s a mature love story and talks about the little joys in life as love between the couple goes out of the window because priorities change. You think only of your kids first, then yourself, then husband. I am sure most of the women, who have been married for the past 10-15 years will easily relate to this show,” she said.
So the obvious next question – when is Mona taking the plunge into marriage? “I do believe in the institution of marriage. I do see myself getting married, having children and being happily settled in life, but like I said I don’t plan, so I don’t know when it will happen but it will happen soon,” she said.

Sameer Soni to host Swayamwar-3, Ratan Ka Rishta?
Ratan Rajput is all set to choose his would-be hubby. This year Ram Kapoor is not hosting swayamwar, he is replaced by Sameer Soni, because Ram is busy in Agent Vinod.
I tried getting to contact Kamna Menezes one of the producer of Swayamwars, but she remained unavailable for comment.
When I called Sameer, he neither confirmed nor denied. “Yes channel approached me for Swayamwar-3 but nothing is finalised right now.”
