Sonarika Bhadoria to return as Parvati in Mahadev?

Graceful Sonarika Bhadoria won thousands of hearts by her splendid performance as Parvati of ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’. She was later replaced by Puja Bose. But now as Puja has already put down her papers, makers are looking for new Parvati. According to latest buzz, Sonarika might return to the show...

According to our source, "Sonarika wanted a hike, to which producers agreed but later she started throwing tantrums as she wasn’t happy with the per day hike. So the channel decided to replace her. Puja Bose stpped in her shoes 4 months ago, but now Puja wants to explore herself as an actress. We heard she got a Bengali film and it was not possible for her to both serial and film at the same time. That’s why from last couple of days her track in the show is significantly reduced."

The source further added, "Now the makers are planning to bring back original Parvati Sonarika Bhadoria. She too decided to let bygones be bygones and apologized for whatever had happened. Now if everything goes well she might return to the show."

Sonarika remained unavailable to comment.

Mohit Raina finds TV female dominated

Mumbai, May 28 (IANS) Mohit Raina describes television as a female dominated space and says it is difficult for male artists to get central roles. He considers himself lucky to play the lead role of Lord Shiva in “Devon ka Dev… Mahadev”.

He refers to his character in the show as “larger than life” and calls it a “lifetime opportunity”.

TV being a female dominated industry, you don’t get to play a lot of central roles. The story of Lord Shiva is there and will go on and on. It is a larger than life character and the platform is huge,” Mohit told IANS.

As an actor, you don’t get much choice in TV. I was lucky to get this. I have played 25-30 characters in the show. You have to be lucky to be able to play so many characters,” he added.

Althoug his popularity has soared after his stint as Lord Shiva on the show, Mohit feels stardom in movies is a different thing.

Films have a different world all together. People watch you for three hours and you become a brand for them. In TV, you are close to their hearts everyday. In films, they might forget you in three weeks. They might see you in ads and commercials. In TV, you don’t give them a chance to forget you. But yes, the film industry is a bigger platform,” he said.

Talking about “Mahadev”, Raina said he never anticipated to get the amount of love that he has received.

“When we started the project, we never thought we will get so much appreciation and love. As an actor, you only look for love, and it has come in abundance. When I started, I never thought that it would be accepted in such a way. I am just short of words,” he said.

Why Santosh Shukla is not doing Jhalak & Maharana Pratap?

After playing Maharaja Virendra Singh in Sahara One’s show ‘Kahaani Chandrakanta Ki’, Santosh Shukla didn’t expect that he will get opportunity to share screen space with ‘chulbul pandey’ Salman Khan, not only once but twice.

Following ‘Bigg Boss’, Santosh got offer to play one of the negative lead in Salman Khan’s upcoming film Mental. He had to undergo a change in look and had to grow a beard for the film, which is expected to release in January, 2014.

Santosh is waiting for second schedule of the film, which might start somewhere in June or July. In the meanwhile he was offered Colors’ upcoming dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and Maharana Pratap.  Elated Santosh wanted to participate in Jhalak, as he loves to dance but unfortunately he didn’t sign the dotted lines.

I love dancing and always wanted to do a dance reality show. But I had to restrain myself from shaving off my beard, so I politely refused to do Jhalak. I was also offered Traingular Films upcoming show Maharana Pratap (makers of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev), but I did not take it too because of the date issues. I had already given my dates for Mental and once when I am committed to something, I can't step back,” says Santosh.

Well Santosh, everything happens for the good and we wish you get new offers soon. -K Himaanshu Shukla...

Mohit Raina is the best Shiv till date: Santosh Shukla

Many of us are unaware of the news that Santosh Shukla, who is currently busy in shooting for Salman Khan's upcoming venture 'Mental' played the role of Lord Shiva in Mahua channel's 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar'.

Until now the actor portrayed various deities from Lord Ram to Lord Krishna and gradually became face of mythological sagas. He was quite fortunate because he got the opportunity to participate in Colors' biggest controversial show Bigg Boss, which refined his life for the better.

"It's really difficult to portray divine roles but sometimes it's even more difficult to break the image because once you do a mytho, the chances to get type cast are much higher. I am triumphant enough to get the image makeover," says Santosh Shukla.

If given an opportunity will he play Lord Shiva again? The actor asserted, "Lord Shiva? Na baba na. Television par Shiva ke roop mein ab sirf Mohit Raina achche lagte hai (No ways, Mohit Raina looks the best as Lord Shiva on Television). He is an amazing actor."

According to Santosh, Mohit is playing a very important role in making the show such a massive hit apart from the huge production values, sets, amazing costumes and writers.

"I was quite shocked when I saw him as Bhagwaan Shankar. Playing Lord Shiva in such a huge mythological show that is larger than life is not a joke. In 'Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev', Mohit carries himself so gracefully that one can't even expect someone else to play Lord Shiva in any other show. I actually want to meet him and congratulate him for doing such a fantastic job. He is best Shiva till date," quips Santosh.

TELLY DIVA: Sparkling Sonarika Bhadoria waiting for her Prince Charming…

She is playing Parvati in Nikhil Sinha's mythological show 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev on Life OK. Sonarika Bhadoria is one amongst the sweetest and charming actresses of small screen. She talked in a graceful deportment when Perfect Woman’s correspondent K Himaanshu Shukla met her on the sets of Mahadev…

Talking about the journey she said, "I always wanted to become an actress, but I didn’t plan to debut at the age of 17. My masi who was a designer then, took me along with her in a party. A casting guy spotted me there and asked me to come for the audition. At that time I was in 10th standard. My dad said to get over with your 12th first and then you can do whatever you want. On father's day I requested my dad to give me permission to try my luck in acting. Like a loving father he accepted my demand. I was in class 11th then."

Sonarika was supposed to play lead role in Rajan Shahi's show, but unfortunately her debut show got scrapped. "After my first show got scrapped I got a call for 'Tum Dena Saath Mera. They shortlisted me to play Abhilasha in the show but the show ended abruptly. At that time I was 19 years old and was not able to cope up with hectic shooting schedules, so I went back my home in Lucknow for one month," said Sonarika.

While she was spending quality time in Lucknow, she got a call to play Parvati. At that time Sonarika had decided to quit television and wanted to concentrate on ads and films. At that time she was quite cynical about playing the role of a Parvati. "When I received the call for Mahadev, I politely said NO but they convinced me and finally managed to pull me in. At that time I was told that, there were many well known actors who were considered for the role.  Probably I was destined to play Parvati, that's why I was shortlisted. By God's grace I didn't struggle a lot. This is all about my journey till date, “she avers.

The still-in-her teens, striking actor Sonarika never thought that her popularity as Parvati would be so vast. She is getting great appreciation, endless love and genuine respect from people around the globe for magnificent depiction of Parvati.  Sometimes she really feels awkward, when fans start relating to her onscreen divine image considering them to be like that in real life too. "Occasionally people try to touch my feet and ask for my blessings. I feel embarrassed but then I thank God for giving me such a nice opportunity to portray such a beautiful role, “says Sonarika.

Petite actress just turned 20 and is waiting for her Rajkumar. "People ask me about my relationship status so I want to tell them I am very much single and looking forward to meet my Rajkumar. I believe in fairy tales and prince charming." When asked what qualities are required to woo her, she giggled and said "Pyaar...pyaar aur sirf pyaar, aur kuch nahi. For me this is the most important factor. I think looks matter till a certain period of time but love is forever. My would-be should be kind hearted and must have a good sense of humor," she said blushing.

Rapid Fire with Sonarika...

Sonarika’s dream role...
I don't have any dream roles. Being an actor I want to do lots of good work. I want to do versatile roles, the roles which are women oriented, the roles which portrayers me as women of substance, the role which shows real power of women and so on. Basically I look forward to women-centric roles.

Sonarika’s dream actor to work with…
Frankly speaking I don't look up to anyone. I can't name a single person with whom I dream to work with. But I want to become an actor with whom everyone dreams to work (laughs)…

I am happy and peaceful and this is what makes me beautiful.  Let me tell you one secret (laughs), the more I sleep the more beautiful I look.  Sleep is the key to look beautiful and feel more youthful.

Sonarika’s fashion funda…
I am neither a trend setter nor an ardent follower of fashion. I watch fashion trends but I wear only what I like and in what I look good. I always dress up decently and wear clothes in which I am comfortable. Most important thing according to me is that, if you are comfortable with your body than everything will look good on you.

When Sonarika is free she loves to…
I love sleeping; it's my favourite pass time. I do meditation in free time. I love to read fiction books. The Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami is my current favorite author. These days I am reading his 'The Complete Trilogy'.

The real Sonarika is...
The real Sonarika is bubbly, sweet and fun loving girl, who loves to spread love and positivity.

Future plans…
I am a present living person. I don't live in the past and also don’t think much about the future. Past ke baare mein sochne se kya faayda. I just live in present. If your present is happy then your future will automatically be contented.
