Udaan to replace Madhubala?

Drashti Dhami and Vivian D'Sena starrer show 'Madhubala — Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' is likely to wrap up in 3rd or 4th week of August. It was supposed to end on July 12, but got an extension by a month.

Madhubala will make way for new show Udaan, which is based on Mahesh Bhatt's unfinished film Girvi. Spandan Chaturvedi plays the protagonist, where as Sai Deodhar, Lubna Salim and Kiran Karmarkar are playing prominent roles

Mishal Raheja to enter Saraswatichandra as the new lead!

Star Plus Saraswatichandra will soon witness a major highpoint with the death Saras(Gautam Rode). There were a lot of speculations made about, who will play the new male lead. A certain section of media reported that toss up is between heartthrob Karan Singh Grover and dashing Vivian Dsena. But now we heard Mishal Raheja is finalized to play the male protagonist.

A source from the production house on the condition of anonymity said, "KSG was almost finalized. But as he is currently shooting for a supernatural thriller with Bong babe Bipasha Basu, so he was not able to give ample of time for Saraswatichandra.Then we approached Raqesh Vashishth, who earlier replaced Karan Singh Grover in Qubool Hai. But he was not ready to do another replacement role."

Our source further added, "In the meanwhile, Vivian DSena was approached. But as Madhubala is expected to go off-air in August end and we want to introduce the new lead in August itself, so we finalized Mishal Raheja."

When contacted Mishal said, "Nothing as of now has been finalized as I haven't signed the contract yet."

Stunning Diva of small screen Drashti Dhami, who is currently seen in Madhubala & hosting Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa shocked her fans by her recent tweet.

The vivacious actress posted on her microblogging site that her journey on the popular dance reality show on Colors' has come to an end.

Geet Hui Sabse Parayi fame actress also thanked her fans for their support along the way.

She was a hosting Jhalak along with actor Ranveer Shorey.

Fans are quite upset after Drashti's tweet as they are still reeling under the shock of her Madhubala coming to an end on 12th July 2014.

We heard anchor actor Manish Paul, who hosted the previous season with Kapil Sharma is expected to replace Dhami. When contacted he said, “I have been approached, but I have not yet taken the final call."

Sexy damsel Drashti Dhami, won last season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Now this beautiful diva is hosting the same reality show. When we asked her, isn't it difficult to host a show? To which she promptly answered, “Yes, it's difficult because I've never done hosting before. I think I've become a pro in dancing now by learning performances.”

What are the challenges she might face while hosting Jhalak? The bubbly girl smiled and said, “As a host you face so many challenges, like you have to be extemporaneous, you should have a good sense of humor. And if your co-host bungles you should be able to cover it up.”

She further added, “I think when you don't know people you face problems, but once I start meeting up people I think everything will be fine.”

Is there any pressure on her as a host? “I would like to tell everyone, please don't have a lot of expectations from me as I would be doing something very different. I can't try to do what Manish Pauldid, he's a pro in it. I can't be there where he was but I will try to do what he did on the show,” she said while sipping a cup a tea.

And what about her chemistry with Ranveer Shorey? She said, “It's very nice. We have met four to five times when we were getting short-listed. He helps me whenever I go wrong so it will be interesting hosting the Jhalak with him. He balances out for me. I would rather have somebody who is more experienced than me so that he can cover up for me when I go wrong.”

She confessed, she is very sarcastic person. “My jokes are very barbed, so I don't think people will really come to know what I am saying most of the time.”

A certain section of the media had very recently reported that gorgeous Drashti Dhami and dashing hunk Sidharth Shukla are smitten by the love bug. However, during recent media interaction at Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa press conference, Dhami expressed her displeasure over such baseless rumours.

When we asked her about this, drop dead gorgeous Dhami said, “Whoever had written that I am dating Siddharth Shukla should be castrated. I swear by God that person who wrote that stupid news will burn in hell.”

The stunning diva Drashti & Sidharth were last seen grooving on the dance floor of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Almost a year, the duo recently met in Gold Awards and sat together. After that gossip mongers started speculating, that they are in a serious relationship.

Drashti was quite angry and blamed the media for creating such fake stories just to raise the eye balls, “It’s quite offending. I met somebody after a year and they wrote I am dating him(laughs).  Do you think I have so much time? I am very busy with my life and I am very happy being single. Right now, I don’t think I need anybody new in my life.”

Ok we trust you Drashti that you are single and have no time to mingle. But then again there's no smoke without fire, to which sexy damsel promptly replied,  “Some media people make the smoke and make the fire, so that there TRP's go high.”

Ekta Kapoor's Devdas to replace Uttaran or Madhubala?

Soap opera queen and producer Ekta Kapoor is working on her next fictional show, which will be official adaption of Saratchandra Chattopadhyay's popular novel 'Devdas'. She is in talks with Colors' channel.

The channel and production house are keeping everything under wraps and the casting is still underway. The show is expected to air after IPL (Indian Premier League).

We heard, Ekta's Devdas and Shashi and Sumeet Mittal’s untitled show might replace Uttaran (starring Tina Dutta, Sreejita De, Rashami Desai, Mrunal Jain, Ajay Chaudhary, Gaurav Chopra) and Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon(starring Drashti Dhami, Vivian Dsena, Gunjan Utrega). Both the shows are under scanner and may be pulled off air soon.

Karanvir Bohra signed on the dotted line..will soon start shooting for Qubool Hai..

Karanvir Bohra, who shot to fame with Kasauti Zindagii Kay and later gave mind blowing performance in Saubhagyavati Bhava will soon enter in Qubool Hai.

He was rumoured to play main lead in Madhubala...Ek Ishq Ek Junoon after the leap, but now we heard he has been finalized to play new lead in Zee TV's Qubool Hai.

As we already reported, after the leap the show will see death of the Asad and Zoya. Surbhi Jyoti, who is currently playing Zoya is will play Asad and Zoya's daughter. Karanvir Bohra is roped to play Surbhi's love interest.

For those uninitiated, Karanvir was earlier approached to play Azad but later Raqesh Vashisth replaced Karan Singh Grover.

Karan has already signed the contract and will start shooting for the show soon.

Vivian DSena out? Madhubala will take a 20 year leap!!

Colors’ one-and-a-half-year old show Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon  will soon take a leap of 20 years.

The show is currently not able to garner the desired ratings, even Vivian D’Sena’s double role as RK and KRK failed to impress the viewers.  So the channel and production house is now introducing a 20-year-leap in the next two weeks. Fresh story will be introduced with some new faces. Drashti Dhami will continue the show, but Vivain’s character will no longer be a part of the show.

We tried to contact producer Saurabh Tewary, but he remained unavailable for comment.

However, Raj Nayak and Colors TV confirmed the news on microblogging site:

Raj Nayak tweeted,  "@rajcheerfull: Excitement never ends @ColorsTV .. For all #Madhubala fans , the show evolves to its new phase soon .. Stay tuned @drashti10 @VivianDsena01"

COLORS, tweeted: "@ColorsTV: Well, the BIG news is... This February, #Madhubala is all set to undergo a leap. How excited are you?"

I wouldn’t want to leave 'Madhubala' even for a day : Drashti Dhami

Drashti Dhami doesn’t need any introduction. The graceful lady is undoubtedly one of the best actresses of small screen. This pretty girl will be seen shaking her legs on different Bollywood numbers in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 6.

Drashti is shooting round the clock for ‘Madhubala’ and like any daily soap actor she is dead tired at the end of the day.  When we asked her how much time she is giving to the Jhalak? “3-4 hours per day," she replied promptly.  Does it justify this show? She replied, “I am giving as much as time I can. It’s justified not justified I don't know.”

When we asked her choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan that it must be difficult for him to manage his time and schedules according to a daily soap actress. The dashing dude scratched his head and said, “I worked with Yana (Gupta) and Isha earlier and their dedication was 24 by 7. I can practice with them for the entire day. Unfortunately Drashti is working for entire 12 hours shift; she is already tired when she comes for practice. I am trying my best to keep her up while practicing. I haven't compromised in my choreography just because she is working in a daily soap. But my schedule is affected. I never started my rehearsals in the night. I am always an early morning person, now I am sleeping in the morning. My other work is gone, so my entire cycle is shifted. I had taken up the commitment so I am giving my best.”

Are we going to see any changes in Madhubala track so that Drashti can give more time for Jhalak? When we asked this to Drashti, Salman immediately grabbed the mic and said, “I wish aisa hoo jaaye (laughs).”

“I love my show. I got Jhalak because of Madhubala I wouldn’t want to leave my show for sure even for a day,” Drashti affirmed.

Drashti had a sparkling chemistry with her Geet co-star Gurmeet Choudhary and her currently her on-screen chemistry with Vivian D’Sena is getting better day by day. When we asked her to rate her chemistry with Salman, she said, “10 on 10.”

When asked Salman to rate her, he said “As a student 9.5.”

Why not 10? “As nobody is perfect in this world, nobody can be,” says Salman.

Salman refused to rate Drashti as a dancer,"She still has a long journey as a dancer. I cannot rate myself as a dancer, so how do I dare rate her. I am still learning dancing so I can never rate anybody in this world.”

Vahbbiz helped me to become a man from a boy : Vivian Dsena

Hot and handsome Vivian Dsena has carved a niche for himself by playing Abhay, a bloodthirsty vampire in 'Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani'. Nation’s heart throb is ready to take it up a notch by playing superstar RK in Nautanki films ‘Madhubala..Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' (Colors’).

When asked how does it feel to experience this transformation. “Well it’s a herculean task for me. In TV industry actors are usually type casted, fortunately I got an opportunity to break out of my image of a vampire. Madhubala is unique and special, the first-of-its-kind on small screen. I am pretty lucky to be able to work in two shows from different genres.”

Talking about the role, Vivian in a conversation with Scrutiny, “RK who is a superstar, just entered in the show. He is a very impulsive person and no one knows how he will react to a situation. You can’t slot him a category - positive or negative. The character has a lot of shades, lot of variation attached to his personality. Everybody is curious to know the mystery behind RK, which makes the character more appealing.”

How easy or tough was it to get into the skin of the character of RK?  “It was really difficult. RK is a superstar and whenever you think of a superstar, the first thing that crosses their mind is a well-toned body. So I have toned my body a little. I've lost more than 11 kilos of weight in a few months as I had put on a weight during ‘Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani’. I am basically a bad eater so it was difficult for me.”

“I am a little bit nervous. I think it's wise to be a bit nervous because confidence can easily turn into overconfidence,” Vivian said.

Did you do any workshop to get into the skin of character? “There were a lot of workshops. We had several meetings with the director and the creative team behind the show. I worked very hard for Madhubala and I did a thorough research on how superstars live their lives. The biggest source of inspiration is Salman Khan. I admire him, his style is unique. I am trying to adapt to his mannerism to make RK’s character look best.”

The actor is in a happier space both personally and professionally. “Indeed, it's one of the best phases of my life. All the hard work that I have put in the last few years is finally paying off. I thank God everyday for everything that he has given me. Vahbbiz is my lucky charm and since the time she has entered my life, there have been a lot of changes and for the better. She made me elegant, polished me and helped me become a man from a boy.”

The actor celebrates his birthday today (28 June 2012), when asked about Birthday plans he said, “I am going for a shopping with Vahbbiz. I am going to indulge on whatever I feel like. Later in the evening, I will probably go out for a dinner with a few friends.”

Vivian got lot of stuffs including perfumes, cards, chocolates etc from his fiancee Vahbbiz.
