Actress Aakanksha Singh, who was last seen in an episodic of Savdhaan India is back with a bang. The actress, who shot to fame from 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' has been roped to play female lead opposite Gautam Rode in 'Mahakumbh'.

As we already reported Rajesh Shringarpure, Ketki Dave, Bandit Queen fame actress Seema Biswas are roped to play a pivotal roles in the show.

Mahakumbh is based on the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh and is about the story of a kid who has supernatural powers, but he is completely unaware about this fact. Mahakumbh is a finite series show and will run only for a year.

#CONFIRMED : Yeh Hai Mohabbatein to replace Saraswatichandra!!

Sphereorigins 'Saraswatichandra' on Star Plus will finally breathe its last on 20 September, 2014. According to the latest buzz, Ekta Kapoor's 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' is expected to fill the void created at 7:30 pm slot.

Says our source,"Saraswatichandra is all set to bid adieu in coming week and will be replaced by Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. From 22 September, 2014 Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel starrer show will get the 7:30 pm slot and repeat telecast will be aired at 11.00 PM."

When contacted Divyanka said, "I am not aware about it."

Despite repeated attempts, Karan couldn't be reached for a comment.

Mishal Raheja to enter Saraswatichandra as the new lead!

Star Plus Saraswatichandra will soon witness a major highpoint with the death Saras(Gautam Rode). There were a lot of speculations made about, who will play the new male lead. A certain section of media reported that toss up is between heartthrob Karan Singh Grover and dashing Vivian Dsena. But now we heard Mishal Raheja is finalized to play the male protagonist.

A source from the production house on the condition of anonymity said, "KSG was almost finalized. But as he is currently shooting for a supernatural thriller with Bong babe Bipasha Basu, so he was not able to give ample of time for Saraswatichandra.Then we approached Raqesh Vashishth, who earlier replaced Karan Singh Grover in Qubool Hai. But he was not ready to do another replacement role."

Our source further added, "In the meanwhile, Vivian DSena was approached. But as Madhubala is expected to go off-air in August end and we want to introduce the new lead in August itself, so we finalized Mishal Raheja."

When contacted Mishal said, "Nothing as of now has been finalized as I haven't signed the contract yet."

Now we heard, veteran actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda, who has been in this industry from past 4 decades was approached to play a meaty role in the show which is currently titled 'Mahakhumb'.

We contacted Kharbanda  to get a confirmation and he said, "Yes, I have been approached for the show, but nothing has been confirmed as of now."

Now we heard, versatile actress Seema Biswas, who well known for playing the role of Bandit Queen is shortlisted to play a meaty role in the show which is currently titled 'Mahakhumb', which is produced by Arvind Babbal

Gautam Rode, who is currently seen in Star Plus show 'Saraswatichandra' has been approached to play lead role in Life Ok's next.

According to our sources, "Rode has already put down his papers and will be soon quitting Saraswatichandra. The dasting actor has been roped to play male protagonist in Life Ok's show 'Mahakumbh', which is a story about a kid with a supernatural powers."

The show will produced by Arvind Babbal, who initially directed a few episodes of Saraswatichandra.

Saraswatichandra to bid adieu in June?

Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget-starrer Saraswatichandra, which was originally produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production house, will soon go off air.

According to our sources,"Saraswatichandra under the scanner for a long time and ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ was supposed to it, but the channel decided to pull the plug on ‘Meri Bhabhi’. Now we heard, the show is tipped to end in June or mid July. It might get the extension, if the new show takes time to hit the tube. Another reason is that the new shows are waiting for the vacant slots, so the channel is forced to axe Sarswatichandra."

We also heard, Bandits Mehra and Barajevo Raichura's show on the international series 'Missing' is expected to replace Saraswatichandra.

Sunjoy and Comall Wadhva’s of Sphere Origins, who are currently producing the show remained unavailable for comment.

Females go gaga over him, get weak on their knees and almost stop breathing when they see him on-screen.  He has immense fan following, still he is down-to-earth and not yet allowed success to get into his head.  We are talking about handsome lad Gautam Rode, who is currently playing lead role in ‘Saraswatichandra’ on Star Plus. We entered into a candid chat with this striking actor while he was shooting for his show. Excerpts:

From Zee TV's 'Jahan Pyaar Mile' to 'Saraswatichandra', you've come a long way. How would you describe your journey so far?

It’s been a long journey for sure, which taught me a lot. I have learnt my work on the sets – people do acting courses, theatre etc but for me my learning has happened on the sets.  And the learning still continues…

Female dominance is a well-known trait of daily soaps.  You are playing title role in ‘Saraswatichandra’.

Earlier I have played ‘Lucky’, which was also the title role.  I would say that I have been fortunate to be a part of shows in which all characters have received equal significance, including mine.  Women are usually the driving factors in our daily soaps, but in Saraswatichandra, Lucky and my other shows each character has been given equal importance.  So for me it’s not about ‘female dominance’.

How is your equation with Jennifer Winget?

It’s very proficient.  We are professional actors who come on a set and perform.

Jennifer is rumoured to be non-cooperate with you while performing romantic scenes. Is it true?

Everyone has their comfort zones as an actor and as an actress she has been very cooperative.

What has the industry taught you?

I have learnt a lot from this industry.  First and foremost you have to be extremely down to earth.  Secondly in this industry you have to have your head on your shoulders and be calculative about what you say and whom you say it to.  You can’t just say anything to anyone. Keeping your emotions in check is extremely important in this industry.  Once the bus is gone, it’s difficult to catch the same bus again.

What are your best memories so far as an actor?

As an actor, it all depends on the character you are playing.  If I talk about commercials, the coke commercial was the best so far as. It was performance oriented.  My present show ‘Saraswatichandra’ is my current favourite and ‘Ba Baa Aur Baby’ is memorable because I was working with excellent characters.  If you are enjoying your work, every day becomes a good memory.

You seem to embrace social media platforms like twitter and Facebook. How important is it to you as an actor?

It’s important because you get great feedback from ‘admirers’ which is very important because they give you suggestions.  You have to change and adapt to what they want – it’s all about viewers and audiences today.  One has to take into account what our audiences are saying because when you give them more of that, they are happy and in turn you are happy.

What would be your advice to someone willing to become an actor?

My advice would be that never take a shortcut- you lose your respect, and you never learn your work properly.  Always be very attentive and eager to learn your work.  You can never say I know everything.  You have to be there and keep learning from the job and on the job.

TRPs decide upcoming tracks and future of daily soaps. How important is the ratings according to you?

It’s the most important thing.  It’s a brutal reality and you have to accept it.  Whatever we are doing is for the TRPs.  Many times a character becomes famous but the show is not doing well, which is not an ideal situation.  If you are getting the TRPs , the character and show will live longer.

If you had to describe Gautam Rode in one word what would it be?

A ‘sponge’ as I like to learn while I am working as well as adapt to thechanges necessary to grow.

If not an actor, what would Gautam be?

Earlier I had thought I would be a stockbroker when I was in college and then join my dad’s business but that changed as I became an actor.

How does he maintain such a brawny physique?

It’s all about your dedication and hard work. You have to control every moment and you have to eat right and work out.  I sometimes go to the gym after pack up at 2 AM and try to work out for at least 45 minutes. It’s not easy and it doesn’t happen every day as sometimes I am unwell due to the late working hours.  However, it’s all about your head and if you want to look good and be fit then you make it an effort to work out.  For me being fit is not about what others are saying but more about wanting to be fit for myself and feel good for myself.

Many youngsters use steroids for a pumped up physique without paying heed to the consequences. Any suggestions for them?

They will get screwed up later….don’t use shortcuts for anything. Sometimes things may come to you late but you enjoy it more and people respect you more because you have earned it.  It’s all about your hard work and dedication.

Bhansali out...Spehere origin to produce Saraswatichandra ?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut magnum opus Saraswatichandra on Star Plus, failed to strike the right chord. Launched with much pomp and fanfare, the much hyped show is not doing well on TRP charts. It was expected to go off air but now we heard the channel has decided to change the production house, because Bhansali's TV production unit was not been able to slickly function.

If everything goes well Sphere Origin (the makers of Balika Vadhu, Crazy Stupid Ishq and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Baar Phir) might take over the charge.

Jennifer Winget and Gautam Rode remained unavailable to comment.

Romantic dates are mostly planned when you are hoping to win over a new love or just feel like treating your present squeeze. Everyone has his/her own idea of perfect date. We asked your favourite TV actors, what's their idea of perfect romantic date?

Petite Karishma Kotak, who is currently hosting IPL said, “Dinner, nice wine and a sunset is a perfect date according to me.”

When we asked Bidaai girl Sara Khan, who is currently seen as Shalu in 'Junoon - Aisi Nafrat Toh KaisaIshq’ she winked her eyes and said, “Romantic date is basically planning romance intentionally. I feel it should be a strange thing happening sorted, it should be surprising, enchanting and adventurous.” Paras (Chhabra) are you listening?

“Good place, tasty food and music followed by a long drive,” said chocolaty boy Kinshuk Mahajan.

Raj Singh (Manan of ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’) said, “Romantic date according to me is loads of love and care with little bit naughtiness. Romantic date is not only being together in a room or a restaurant, its enjoying blue sky lush green scenery, fishing and cooking together  and of course followed with glasses of wine and sex to the satisfaction. It’s enjoying full moon night on milky white bed beneath black quilt.”

Angad Hasija’s ideal date is always with his wife Pari. He said, “Perfect date according to me is beach side dinner. Beaches outside India are preferred.”  So Angad where are you taking Pari?

“For me Perfect date is where a beautiful evening is spent near a beach side under a moon light. We can have quality talks with little bit sharing of good sense of humour, great food and a glass of Sangria will add to the beauty of the date,” says Archana Taide.

Gorgeous Sonarika Bhadoria, who is gracefully portraying the role of Parvati in Life Ok’s ‘Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev said while blushing, “There’s no such idea of romantic date. I think being wrapped in the arms of the man I love wherever even if it is a parking lot would be a perfect romantic date for me.”

“My idea would be to take my girl to London and walk around near Waterloo next to London Eye because that is the most romantic place I have seen. That is what I’ll be doing soon as my girlfriend stays in London and I am going for an event there,” said Gautam Gulati who is presently seen in Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Uttaran girl Tina Duttasaid, “Rose petals showering as soon we step in. Candle light dinner followed by chocolate brownie. My boyfriend giving me a nice bouquet and a surprise peck on my cheeks makes a date more perfect.”

“Place doesn’t matter as long as you are with the one you really love,” affirms Giaa Manek.

Gautam Rode who is currently seen in Saraswatichandra said, “It should be in an open cafe on top of a hill, with light music playing in the backdrop. And no one else is there besides you and your loved one.”

Saraswatichandra to air six days a week...Guman to disclose Saras's decision of not marrying Kumud..

Sanjay Leela Bhansalis debut television show Saraswatichandra starring Jennifer Winget and Gautam Rode on Star Plus' is getting good response from the viewers.  We heard that Star Plus’ has decided to telecast its much hyped fictional show six days a week from Monday to Saturday from the next week (1st April, 2013).

In the upcoming track will bring along a major upheaval in Kumud's (Jennifer Winget) life. According to our sources, "Saras (Gautam Rode) had determined that he won't marry Kumud, but he did not reveal his decision to his family.  Eventually he started feeling for Kumud. Now when he decided to express his love to Kumud,  Guman Laxminandan Vyas  (Monica Bedi)  come to Gujarat from Dubai. And that's when she will disclose Saras's decision of not marrying Kumud. Saraswati and Kumud’s wedding comes to a halt. While a dejected Kumud will sulk for her unrequited love, others will blame Saras for being in compassionate and selfish. He will be compared with his mother."

We tried contacting Monica Bedi, Gautam Rode and Jennifer Winget, but all our efforts were in vain.
