Devoleena or Giaa...who is real Gopi Bahu?
Join us on Facebook
Do you all know who Gopi Bahu is? It would be such a waste to ask this question. Gopi Bahu….it isn’t just a character or name anymore, it is an iconic character. There would not be a single TV fan who would not know who Gopi Bahu is.
Yes, we are talking about none other than the simple, innocent, docile bahu from Star Plus’s long running show Saath Nibhana Saathiya.
The very popular show which was launched in 2010 immediately clicked with the audience and gave birth to the eternal character of Gopi. The character was played by the pretty actress Giaa Manek and viewers just loved to see her onscreen. The females enjoyed crying with their Gopi Bahu. But the things didn’t remain the same. When in 2012, Giaa left the show and moved on; Devoleena Bhattacharjee was brought on board to play the role of Gopi Bahu.
At that time, nobody was sure if the replacement will be accepted by the audience. But the spark of the character was that much that people gradually accepted their new Gopi Bahu. While Giaa went ahead and did shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Jeanie Aur Juju, her previous show Saathiya kept on doing well even after the replacement and remained popular. But the point is that have the people really forgotten their old Gopi Bahu? We bring you the answer.
Yesterday at the evening of ITA awards (Indian Television Academy Awards), an incident happened which let everyone wondering who the real Gopi is.
Rithvik Dhanjani and Nakuul Mehta were hosting the certain section of awards. And as a part of their comparing session, Rithvik said, ‘Aaj Gopi Bahu kitni achi dikh rahi hai, camera kaha hai? Zara Gopi Bahu pe focus karo’. That was it..
To each and everyone’s surprise, the camera was focused on the ex-Gopi Bahu Giaa. Probably the camera man also remembered Giaa as Gopi Bahu and forgot that now the Gopi Bahu is Devoleena.
Infact when Giaa exited from the awards night, the fans who were gathered outside the event venue started shouting lovingly Gopi Bahu..Gopi Bahu.
Well, we are still confused who is real Gopi? Giaa, who left the show long ago? Or Devoleena, who currently portraying this character and is leaving no stone unturned to do justice to Gopi Bahu's character.

Vampires are good looking and intriguing and I will become immortal like them."
Aaradhan Uppal, who is currently seen as a strict principle in Baal Veer said, “I would suck Sunil ‘Gutthi’ Grover's blood and inculcate his awesome acting skills, suck on Salman's blood and become more compassionate at being human and I would suck on our honourable prime minister Narendra Modi to bring great changes in India.”

Instead of fighting & create issues I would woke them to become friends and we would go ahead, grow and improve together in life rather than fighting,” says Harshith Arora who is currently seen as Ayaan in P.S I Hate You.
His co-star Chandni Bhagwanani said, “You know in our show, there is this bizarrest urban legends floating around Harshith’s character Ayaan from cannibalism to being a vampire. If I become vampire for one day, than I will go and bite Ayaan and actually make him a real vampire.”

Actors talk about their Independence Day memories of childhood
We caught up with a few celebs and asked about any of their special childhood experience on this freedom day.
Giaa Manek
Usually on Independence Day we would get an off, as in we would just have to come to school for sometime for doing the rituals of Independence Day. I remember, me and my 2 classmates used to sing patriotic songs after flag hosting, those were sweet innocent memories which I will always cherish.
Karan Sharma
I remember on Independence Day we used to line up and march in the school ground. Once, I was supposed to sing 'Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon', at that I was quite nervous and scared, that when I went on stage I forgot the song which I was supposed to sing.
Aasiya Kazi
When I was a kid I used make tricolor at home. I remember, every year while I was making our National flag my dad used to tell me, “Beta it's not just a piece of paper, it's a symbol of the Nation's respect and pride. Never ever disrespect it.”
Ankita Bhargava
For a long time in my childhood 15th August just meant holiday. It was only during teenage when we were introduced to films like Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basanti, that I realised what 15th August really meant to this country. I remember our elders used to tell us stories about the struggle for independence, which was an eye opener and changed the way I looked at 15th August.
Sahil Anand
My grandparents used to buy me new clothes so that on 15th August I should wear new clothes and I remember all my family used to sing national anthem on 15th and morning which we still do that.
Chandni Bhagwanani
On every independence day I danced in the school on patriotic songs. I remember I did a show in NCPA in front of Mumbai police, when I was a senior student in Shiamak Davar's dance institute. We performed on 'Vandemataram', that was most memorable performance till date.

It gives me immense pain when I read the messages sent to me by my fans on social networking sites that they are missing me to death and want to see me on screen. I want to fulfill their wish, but it is really not in my hands. God has given me the best soo far and I have to keep in mind that the 'best shows' is not something that happens daily. So I have to wait patiently for I wouldn't want to waste my talent in a not soo good character and not soo good show," quipped Giaa.
She further added, "Besides the fact that I need a good script. If I get an opportunity. I would love to play a character that would again surprise my viewers and me."

Why Giaa Manek quit Jeannie Aur Juju?
Docile actress Giaa Manek, was currently seen in Jeanie Aur Juju has quit the show and will be replaced by 'Sabki Ladli Bebo' fame Shivshakti Sachdeva.
A couple of days ago the channel has assured Giaa that the show got an extension of 1 year and asked her to renew the contract (which was initially for 260 episodes), which was to expire in 1st week of November. The committed actress declined a few plumb offers because of it.
Makers of Jeannie Aur Juju started auditioning for new Jeannie without informing Giaa. So when she came to know about this, she asked the production people who told her that the show is going off-air in 7-8 weeks. They are looking for an actress on a very less price for remaining 7-8 weeks. Giaa was shocked and decided to quit the show.
Even Ali Asgar and Neha Mehta also put in their papers.

Your favourite TV actors talks about their idea of perfect romantic date..
Romantic dates are mostly
planned when you are hoping to win over a new love or just feel like treating
your present squeeze. Everyone has his/her own idea of perfect date. We asked
your favourite TV actors, what's their idea of perfect romantic date?
Petite Karishma Kotak, who
is currently hosting IPL said, “Dinner,
nice wine and a sunset is a perfect date according to me.”
When we asked Bidaai girl
Sara Khan, who is currently seen as Shalu in 'Junoon - Aisi Nafrat Toh KaisaIshq’ she winked her eyes and said, “Romantic
date is basically planning romance intentionally. I feel it should be a strange
thing happening sorted, it should be surprising, enchanting and adventurous.”
Paras (Chhabra) are you listening?
“Good place, tasty food and music followed by a long drive,” said
chocolaty boy Kinshuk Mahajan.
Raj Singh (Manan of ‘Pyaar
Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’) said, “Romantic date according to me is loads of love and care with little bit
naughtiness. Romantic date is not only being together in a room or a
restaurant, its enjoying blue sky lush green scenery, fishing and cooking
together and of course followed with
glasses of wine and sex to the satisfaction. It’s enjoying full moon night on
milky white bed beneath black quilt.”
Angad Hasija’s ideal date is
always with his wife Pari. He said, “Perfect
date according to me is beach side dinner. Beaches outside India are preferred.” So Angad where are you taking Pari?
“For me Perfect date is where a beautiful evening is spent near a beach
side under a moon light. We can have quality talks with little bit sharing of
good sense of humour, great food and a glass of Sangria will add to the beauty
of the date,” says Archana Taide.
Gorgeous Sonarika Bhadoria,
who is gracefully portraying the role of Parvati in Life Ok’s ‘Devon Ke Dev...
Mahadev said while blushing, “There’s no
such idea of romantic date. I think being wrapped in the arms of the man I love
wherever even if it is a parking lot would be a perfect romantic date for me.”
“My idea would be to take my girl to London and walk around near
Waterloo next to London Eye because that is the most romantic place I have
seen. That is what I’ll be doing soon as my girlfriend stays in London and I am
going for an event there,” said Gautam Gulati who is presently seen in Diya
Aur Baati Hum.
Uttaran girl Tina Duttasaid, “Rose petals showering as soon we
step in. Candle light dinner followed by chocolate brownie. My boyfriend giving
me a nice bouquet and a surprise peck on my cheeks makes a date more perfect.”
“Place doesn’t matter as long as you are with the one you really love,”
affirms Giaa Manek.
Gautam Rode who is currently
seen in Saraswatichandra said, “It should
be in an open cafe on top of a hill, with light music playing in the backdrop.
And no one else is there besides you and your loved one.”
