Cezanne Khan & Neha Marda declined Bigg Boss 6?

So many names like Kiran Janjani, Nityanand Swami, Arjun Bijlani, Aashka Goradia, Urvashi Dholakia, Bhojpuri star Nirahuwa, Vrijesh Hirjee, Aman Verma, Karanvir Bohra and Nupur Mehta etc speculated for the Bigg Boss season 6.

There are a few actors who were offered by they declined the show, two such names are Neha Marda and Cezanne Khan.

Cezanne Khan, who shot fame by playing Anurag Basu in ‘Kasautti Zindagii Kay’said, “Endemol approached me for Bigg Boss but I declined the offer as I am not interested in doing reality shows.” (Well..we heard he was very keen in participating in the show. May be he lied because he has signed a non disclosure agreement)

Balika Vadhu’s Genha, Neha Marda also confirmed that she was approached but she turned down the offer as she doesn’t want to become part of controversies.

Nupur Mehta spills cold water on Salman Khan!

Bigg Boss 6 on Colors may not turn out as clean as we are made to believe! Cricket scandal sensation Nupur Mehta, who has confirmed her participation on the show to Mid-Day as well as Daily Bhaskar, is already threatening to ruin the so-called ‘family makeover’ of the show, enthusiastically announced by Salman Khan and its makers Endemol.

“Yes, it is true that I’m joining the show. But the makers are such misers,” Nupur has been quoted in an article in Daily Bhaskar.

While the Bigg Boss team is gung-ho about the new format, Nupur has blasted them! “I’ll rip apart all their formats! I will show skin and won’t draw back in fear in using the language, which they might not appreciate. Do you think I will do what those misers will make me do? Nobody can stop me from doing what I want to do! Since I know Salman, I’m sure the experience will be memorable,” she said in the article.

Moreover, questions are being raised about how ethical it is for a participant to announce her entry on the reality show to the media, twenty days before it begins on October 7! After all, this would easily enable other participants to contact Nupur and plot and plan things in advance for the show. If this can happen, where’s the ‘reality’ of it all!

What’s going wrong with Movers and Shakers?

Movers and Shakers on Sony Entertainment Television used to be the most talked-about stand up comedy show a few years ago. But its latest avatar on Sab TV doesn’t seem to be catching on with the glory.

That, inspite of bagging celebrity guests like Anupam Kher, Govinda, Isha Khoppikar, Kader Khan, Mahi Gill, Mika Singh, Nupur Mehta, Om Puri, Sameera Reddy, Saroj Khan, Satish Kaushik, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Sonu Sood, Sukhwinder Singh, Pakistani starlet Veena Malik and the Indian hockey team!

So what’s going wrong with M&S this time? The look, feel, format and suave host Shekhar Suman’s trademark wit is almost at par with the earlier edition. But the jokes, gags and punches are contributed by a different team now, apart from the show having a new director Shashant Shah, who also directed the touching film Dasvidaniya and the successful TV series The Great Indian Comedy Show.

The show’s earlier creative director Abhigyan Jha has moved on to direct his own show Jay Hind on the internet, followed by The Late Night Show on Colors with Sumeet Raghavan; the same host of Jay Hind.

Many feel that the similar formats of Movers and Shakers, Jay Hind and The Late Night Show have divided the viewership and diluted the M&S brand loyalty. Moreover, Shekhar’s favourite mimicry characters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Laloo Prasad Yadav, are more or less absent now, as they are no longer viewed as frontrunners in Indian politics.

Also missing from the team is Dale Bhagwagar, now the Bollywood PR guru, who used to be Shekhar Suman’s personal publicist as well as the media manager of M&S for quite some time during its first innings. The public relations specialist is often credited for branding Shekhar as the First Superstar of Indian Television in the media.

Rakhi Sawant praises Nupur Mehta over pasta and garlic bread!

Cricket controversy sensation Nupur Mehta was chatting up with Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar at the Andheri hotspot Indigo in Mumbai recently, when another of the publicist’s clients Rakhi Sawant happened to walk in.

As he introduced the controversy queens to each other, he realized that they jelled fabulously well in just a few minutes of knowing each other.

“So much so that Rakhi not only excitedly shared her pasta and garlic bread with Nupur, but even gave the gorgeous cricket circuit girl loads of tips about life in Bollywood,” the publicist revealed. Rakhi told Nupur that she found her “a very intelligent and intellectual girl” and that she had “a bright future.”

The newbie too was touched by Rakhi’s gesture. “You are such a down-to-earth person. Am glad we met,” Nupur told Rakhi, and it all seemed as if they’d just started a sort of mutual admiration society! Gee!
